I called it. We literally drafted the water boy. 😀

He helped set up the field and the water bottles for his teammates before heading home on Friday nights.

what I got from his Highlight video. Fast going to the sideline. He's good at making the open field tackles. He can tackle the tight end. Not sure about his pass coverage skills or his ability to stop the run.

Pretty raw. Needs some coaching up. But FAST.

Man... that's too funny. And his momma literally didn't let him play football as well. You wrong for this lmao.

A inexperienced 200lb linebacker, Just great..

Ok. Here some actual highlights on this player.

Probably a good thing the Hurts pick provides some cover for this guy, because IMO this was way too early for this player.  The Eagles had met with him early in the process, but I think he'd have been available at #127.

He'll play ST next season, but this reminds me of a reach in the Pumphrey/Hollins sense.  He can't be as bad as those 2 guys, can he?

As was pointed out to me, it's all about speed regardless of projected round, with Howie.

Thanks... I'll never get this image out of my mind... I can't stop laughing lmao. Hydration Specialist. Watching his highlights now thinking he's screaming on every tackle.

He better not be. But if he fails he can always go back to his old job as Water Distribution Engineer. LOL.

Taylor is listed at 228. How much did Geery weigh when they moved him to LB?

What bothers me the most is that the Eagles seem to be more prone to drafting "Project" or players who will take time to develop over impact players more often than not. This kid is young, raw and a hybrid type of tweener. The defense needs players to contribute right away. We don't want more confusion about where to be on the field. With that said, this pick has high upside and is an athlete. You see it on film, and the way he moves. He is fast. So, I hope that athleticism translates to turnovers, tackles, sacks etc.

Huhn? What impact players are finished products coming out of the 3rd round?

Stewart Bradley - 87

Kendricks- 46

Hicks- 84

And technically Marcus Smith was a DE/OLB for Louisville so - 26

Marcus Smith. Yeah that’s true. He was a linebacker.... I think Chip Kelly purposefully ruined that guy cause he hated that pick and Howie so much. Don’t get me wrong Smith sucked, but the one thing he was good at in college was rushing the passer and Chip basically made him do everything, but that in the pros . Matt McCoy was selected 63.

Yea i dont know anything about him, but his tape looks good.  Good open space linebacker , but can he help the run game n hold up 16 games

Really good coverage ability.  That’s huge.  Weird thinking a LB taken at the end of the 3rd round is my favorite pick so far.  😕

That list is actually really big. I think you just forgot to add the word Eagles in there. NFL wise there have been.

Eagles is definitely a qualifier lol.

He looks bad in this video. He shows his speed by running down guys. That’s like the only positive. But his diagnosing of plays is junk. He pretty much had 2 tds thrown on him in zone because he took too long to know where he was supposed to be and didn’t get his depth.

and there were a number of plays where he hit the guy that was in front of him but didn’t even try to disengage or even read where the ball was. He would hit the guy in front of him and the runner would run by his area while he’s trying to win a one-on-one battle. Forget the guy you’re fighting with. Disengage and go get the guy the ball!

this dude needs work. Maybe there’s some other games where he didn’t look so bad. Otherwise..... Special teams ahoy!

Wonder if they move him to Safety.

That’s Edwards job. This kid can take that Malcolm role where he can play multiple places in the back 7. Super athletic, and good instincts.

Yeah he can do a lot of the same things that Dugger or Chinn can make.  Similar athletic monster tweener nickel backer type that defenses are looking for now.  Would have preferred Willlie Gay in the 2nd, but this is not a bad pick and he was projected to go exactly in the late 3rd early 4th.

As I remember it we drafted Gerry like at 215 and he bulked about 10 lbs over the years.

Yes but this was pick 103, so the statement earliest LB since McCoy is wrong. There's been 3 kind of 4 LBs selected earlier than 103.

Doubtful. There's a lot of LBs in the NFL now around his size. He will most likely fill the Jenkins role of LB, while using Mills to replace Jenkins safety role.

McCoy was a 2nd round pick. He was pick 63.

Correct. So this is not the earliest we took a LB since McCoy. We took 3 or 4 LBs earlier than 103.
