If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

Jurrry going pass happy offense. McCarthy will throw throw throw

well lets see, how was the year 2020?  well it started off with almost starting WWIII, then Australia was on fire, like the whole continent. And then a GLOBAL PANDEMIC shut everything down, and the Markets crashed, except the NFL decided to hold the draft. But then the Eagles, they thought it would be a good idea to shut down the Eagles Message board, and well they thought 2020 didn't count so they literally phoned in the draft just throwing darts at players.

I'd have more faith in the dart.

Howie sounds so excited talking about his many 4th round picks...newsflash you mental midget, multiple picks at the bargain bin won't help you much.

Wow, talk about insecurity. Howie last night and now it’s Weidl’s turn to let everyone now they’ve been getting texts telling them how great the Hurts pick was 😂

JFC, Howie also made a point to mention their enthusiasm for Reagor while talking about Hurts as they didn’t feel they were clear enough last night, Spads struggling to spin anything....what an absolute mess.

We haven’t entered Browns territory this offseason, have we? Guess not as we haven’t had any bums, besides Howie (ayoooo) recommend any picks to our owner, although, I feel like even the guy in the street would go BPA whether it was a primary or secondary need for the team.

You can see the fail in his face as he tries to convince himself he's doing good.

Yep. Those are developmental starters, at best, 3 or 4 years down the line. The whole point of Rounds 1 to 3 is to try to find guys to immediately come in and possibly compete to start. Howie abandoned logic completely for ego. He wanted headlines tonight with the shock and awe pick.  He wants so bad to be smarter than the room. Plus, he knows Lurie won't fire him. So, here we are.

Zeke is not going to be happy in that offense.

Howie looked like a child explaining why he made a mess to his parents.

Doug looked like he didn't want Hurts and was annoyed, or drunk.

Weidl has no clue.

Weidl's just there to nod.

Listen close and you may agree with me that Howie and Andy are constantly passing the buck. Howie  to Weidl and Weidl to the scouts. Doug is just sitting there trying to figure out how to deal with the inevitable QB controversy questions he's gonna hear in every presser for the next 3 years.

They know they've screwed this up royally and can't get out of trouble. It's gonna get worse.

Howie just doesn’t get it. When you draft mediocre players you get a mediocre team. They had a chance to add a game-changing potential superstar in Lamb but he didn’t get it done. At this point I would’ve been glad to overpay and trade a 2nd rounder to move up. A pick is not a valuable asset if you don’t get it right. Lamb for Reagor & Hurts would be a great deal for us.

Doug referencing the Saints and Ravens using a gadget QB sounded like he was reading the company approved message.

Press Taylor liked Hurts.  He was just promoted, hasn't proven anything.

We need better scouts, better VP of personnel and better GM to make these decisions.

A QB taken in the 4th - with 3 picks in the 4th - would have been fine.

Jeffrey Lurie needs to make the change again but make it permanent. Howie does contracts, salary cap management, trade exploration, and figuring out where guys are going in the draft, period.

Someone else must oversee college player evaluations, interviews, background checks, stacking the board, approving trades, and making the player selections.

I can understand not trading up for Lamb either because another team didn't want to trade with you, or you didn't want to give up picks.  I'm even ok with Reagor if they really liked him.

But in the 2nd you can take DE Epenesa to eventually replace Graham, and in the 3rd you take future safety Burgess not a special teams backup LB.

Or, take Queen at LB in the 1st, Mims in the 2nd and in the 3rd trade up for Duvernay.

Howie needs to be like Joe Banner:  contracts, cap, negotiations and trades.

Need a VP of Personnel - replace Weidl with someone better - to have full control over scouting, personnel and setting the draft board and deciding who to pick in coordination with taking the coaches input.

Or:  get rid of Roseman and Weidl and get a new GM.

I'm watching this interview with Hurts and it seems like even he feels (body language) this isn't the best situation for him going to a place with a QB who is still young with a rabid fanbase. He seems a little caught off guard.

He probably wants to - you know - start, not be a gadget player for 2 plays a game and insurance for Wentz injuries.
