Way to discredit every good player on the team, ever. Didn't win it all. So screw them all!

Nah, I'm not that extreme.

Well isn't the point to win the Super bowl?

If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

I know I am in the minority with that, but my point is to be entertained first and foremost. If they get to win the title, perfect! But I want to enjoy the games even more.

I can enjoy Dawkins, even without him winning a ring. To say: Don't care, didn't win a SB? Nah.

Hey I want to be entertained too, that's hugely important because that's part of sports... But this team didn't really entertain for most of last year and this offense isn't going to be much more entertaining next year either.

Oh, I beg to differ. I think you are in for a big surprise!

I'm not. I'm really not. Hurts doesn't change the needle one bit. If he has to play because Wentz gets hurt then the season is over and yeah sure let's enjoy seeing an athletic QB.

Why so mad? With Wentz injury history there is like what...90% chance Hurts will  see the field this season?...My problem is that with his playing style he will probably get hurt in 3 weeks as well...but everybody should understand by now how important is the backup QB...you can draft Jeudy, Lamb and Ruggs all together if the only guy to throw them the ball is incompetent bum...btw Hurts threw it to all of those I think😂...don't worry guys, just be happy and stay healthy, the Eagles always played their best when nobody expected too much from them...I clearly see the logic😄

You want to keep your quarterback from getting hurt, it’s simple, you build a massive offensive line in front of him and give him tons of weapons. Howie picking a gimmicky quarterback in round 2 was stupid, he should have doubled dipped at wide receiver.

And that OL has question marks so what are you talking about? The LT is a rookie, talented sure but a backwards step on last year. Lane is a beast no doubt. Brooks is a beast but he's had back to back season ending injuries. Kelce is a beast but another year older. This OL is still very good but it's not the unit it was. And we don't have tons of weapons.

If you were building that way you wouldn't spend a second round pick on a player you hope doesn't play.

He probably wants to - you know - start, not be a gadget player for 2 plays a game and insurance for Wentz injuries.

Exactly. I just made a similar comment in his thread. He might be a really talented player, I don’t know, but I can’t imagine he wanted anything less than being a starter, or having a legit chance to compete.

There actually is a long history of valuable backup QBs at the Eagles. It's not just Foles.

How many were brought in with a 2nd round pick and a stud QB just about to enter his prime years?

And let's not pretend he's some can't miss talent. He's not.

Very few draft picks are really. That’s not even my biggest issue. It’s the position he plays and the expectations going forward.

Just like last year with Thorson. I knew nothing about him as a player, but with only 5 total picks, I knew, even under the best circumstances, he would contribute nothing, and I wanted a player who at least had a chance to compete for playing time.

Hurts will also contribute nothing under the best of circumstances, aside from being a gadget player, and I don’t think we have the roster depth to gamble on a luxury like that right now.

Precisely. They mentioned the NO back up... He played 15 snaps a game last year. 15! He contributed like 400 yards. He was a UDFA. We just used a second round pick in the hope hes similar? Give me strength.

I don't really have a problem with them bringing in a back up QB. I do have a problem with using a 2nd round pick to do it. A wasted pick.

Hill was also undrafted I believe I saw someone mention. If they want to experiment with one of their 4ths or later picks, sure, have at it. Round 2 is not the place to do that.

Yeah bud I said he was a UDFA.

My bad. I missed that in your post lol.

No harm done. Unlike this pick.p

Remember that Darius Slay and Nickell Robey-Coleman are essentially part of this draft class. They’re two "Day 1 Starters” acquired in the middle rounds.

I should've bought this before the draft, but not to protect myself from coronavirus. It would've helped me deal with the stench of Howie's bad picks.

There is one fortunate thing......Howie's awful draft will not be on display THIS year because in all likely hood, there isn't going to be a season so fortunately, there's that.

I will say this the Eagles are one of the best teams at getting value picks for backups

AJ- 2nd

Mcnabb- 2nd

Kolb- 2nd and DRC

Bradford- 1st and 4th(yes i get it was not a backup but should have been)

I think the problem is they have not drafted well with the picks they landed for those QBs.

I dont see this as a draft and trade pick though. I fully think they are copying the Saints and a 4 year cheap backup for Wentz.

Well, lets see if we can salvage this draft.  There are still some really good DE rotation prospects that fit our style.  Weaver/Wilkeles to name a couple.  There are also some high ceiling X prospects, Collin Johnson, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Gabriel Davis among others.

All hope is not lost and we did get the LB and WR, the two most pressing needs on the team.
