No we don't. If we don't like what remains we can still go out and find someone else after the draft.

Oh wonderful another great option there then. What a great princess Howie has.

If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

But they also got it wrong because there's not a whole lot left at WR and we HAVE to draft another.

I disagree with that. They didnt need to get two stud WRs. They neededa stud and another guy. Still have decent guys left that I mentioned and I even left some off like Proche, Hightower, and Watkins.

I like Solomon Kindley, JR Reed, .. maybe DPJ and Amik Robertson.

3 out of these 4 in the 4th round and I'll be less pissed off.

I didn't say two studs. Still need another guy though.

Yes, like re watching Breaking Bad for the 18th time.

They will get another guy.

Dude the pick is completely illogical. The argument for needing a good back up is a fine argument but doesn't actual apply to Hurts. A young rookie who needs developing is not a good reliable back up. He's a wildcard, he's an unknown.

simply put he is a gamble.

In more ways than one. And a gamble this team could ill afford.

Everyone here does realize that Higgins will now be the best WR in the draft since Cinci drafted them right 🙂

Teams really reached on WR's in rounds 2 and 3. This is why you dont wait even in a historic draft class. If nothing else they got that right by not getting too cute at 21.

we will agree here. I like the Reagor pick...

but then we started gambling on future value instead of actual value for this year.

this is my issue. any way you slice it the 2nd and 3rd rd picks are projects. Limited to no value for the 2020 season. and normally you like to see production from your top picks.

The 4th rd you can still get good players to possibly contribute, but not expected to like the 2nd and 3rds..   but now we pretty much need to get guys here that will play. Lets hope we can get them at the end of the 4th rd?   smh

Some of you act like we should only pick guys that are already in the hall of fame. Every pick is a gamble in a million ways.

Well if its not asking too much, Ill sign up for that.

strawman. No one is saying that, what we are saying is that we should pick guys in the higher rds who are expected to play this year. save the project gambles for the later rds.

Nothing wrong with taking a project with big upside at pick 103. The problem is you absolutely wasted a premium pick at 53 right before that. The same pick they presumably refused to part with to move up for the top receiver in the draft. Epic fail.

I would  rather spend my day watching reruns of Gilmore Girls with the wife than waste my time watching the draft. Such a dang waste.

Still cant believe we could have had Reagor AND Mims at 21 and 53 and instead Howie and Doug thought taking a backup QB was a better idea.

Idk seems like a lot of "pick the surefire guys Howie!" calls in here. When in reality there are no surefire picks after maybe the top 10. And even the top 10 are gambles.

We needed a starting WR and a backup QB. Seems like we picked both of those.

I think we better start getting used to the idea that with Howie, he is going to draft a QB in every draft as long as he remains GM because as he said, he wants the Eagles to be a QB factory.

He very well could draft another QB in round 2 next year. and every year there after because the Eagles value the QB position more than any other team in the NFL according to Howie.

And  he will supplement it with picks like Arcega-NoUpside.

Yep. If Howie continues with this BS in selecting speed guys over production guys he is going to end up on the Hot Seat. Especially if they don't contribute. Enough project players.

Amusingly, Andy Reid, had the last pick in every round and had a solid draft, IMO.

Rounds 1-3 are for guys that can compete and possibly even start. Backup QBs are for Round 4 or later and then you develop them and try to trade them for picks higher than the round you draft them in. It's pretty simple.  Look at the LB situation, CB (other than Slay), Safety, and possibly OL and tell me that those needs aren't far greater than backup QB (who will only see the field if Wentz is injured).  And, if the Eagles don't address the needs at LB and S, I don't think they make the playoffs this year. So, a backup QB isn't going to save the day if the starting talent isn't good enough to help the Eagles win enough games.

Yeah, I agree. Really hit or miss with receivers in drafts. And wasting all your draft capital hoping one hits is a mistake. Cleveland tried that a few years ago after getting picks from the Wentz trade. I don't think any of them made the team.

Better off targeting depth at other key positions. There will be some receivers available for trade after the draft as some teams have surplus at the position now.

Ok. Rounds 4-7 starts at 12:00 for any of those who haven't been totally turned off by Howie already.

F the draft, I'm going to run to Home Depot and see if some idiot not wearing a mask can give me Covid 19 instead of watching that idiot draft.
