Eagles seem determined to come out of training camp with couple useful WRs

Looks like they're stockpiling on WRs now hoping one sticks

Philadelphia Eagles: Quez Watkins, WR, Southern Miss - B+ Grade
Nothing will make up for the worst draft pick we've seen in 20 or more years, but the Eagles made a nice selection with Quez Watkins in the sixth round. Watkins is a terrific athlete with loads of potential. It wouldn't surprise me if he eventually became a starter.

I’d say Goodwin has the least shot of making the team out of today’s additions.

I think JJaw is now officially in trouble. The Eagles are now emphasizing speed.  I don't care if he is a 2nd rounder with size. The Eagles look like they are now changing their philosophy when it comes to WRs.

I’ll eat my crow here as I was frustrated with the continual trade backs. I just can’t stop thinking about that second rounder. Anyway, love Watkins, but man, did NFL.com update his weaknesses just to stick it to us? 😄

I agree. Only thing that makes it palatable is  0 dead cap and not much trade cost.

May be Eagles like his presence in TC for other speed WRs

OK, it's shaping up better than I thought it would this late. Not my ideal group, but there's some talent to work with there. I honestly forgot Watkins was still there. I do like his game.

We may have just gone from the slowest WR group in the NFl to the fastest.  Not sure how much better we are but...

He would have to carve out a Jason Avant type role somewhere.

Will we throw it deep this year?  Or use these guys on short hitch routes?

Forgot about Watkins too. 4.35 speed. I think I may agree with whomeever said JJaw May be in trouble because we’ve changed our philosophy.

Pretty much the nail on the head. We might not be able to catch a pass but we are taking the finish line in the track meet
