A few points about that.

First, the pro day 40 was hand-timed, probably by someone from TCU who was rooting hard for Raegor - that time was a quarter second faster than at the combine, timed by a neutral person.  At the very least, a bit of skepticism on the time is called for.

Second, the reason he picked up that weight for the combine is probably because he thought he needed to demonstrate to scouts that he could perform at a high level with more weight/muscle on his body, e.g., to help him get off the line in press coverage.  Soooo yeah, mission definitely not accomplished there.  He may have to play at the lighter weight, with the physical disadvantages that come with that.

Finally, this is probably a situation where it would have been really comforting for your team's scouts to be physically present to verify the numbers, and the Eagles did not have that luxury.

I don't think that 40 time was valid at his pro day. No way. Of course it was rigged to benefit him. That said, I think he plays faster than his 40 time at the combine. But, even a 4.47/40 was far better than Jerry Rice's 40 and Mike Quick's 40. So, I'm not worried about his game speed. The main concerns I have for him is can he get off press and can he catch the football consistently.

If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

I hear you. I've seen a a tenth of a second off of times at pro days but rarely have I seen a whole 2 tenths. When you look at his game speed on the field he looks like a 4.3 guy at least.

No one should be allowed to hate on Jalen until they watch this video first

We got a stud, only way this move could've been better is if we got an extra pick in the process. Very excited to see who we pick tomorrow, hoping its jeremy chinn, Mims would be a sick pick, but itll prob be a boring pick

I was watching post draft coverage but that didn't help. Scott Van Pelt is organizing a circle jerk over Girls getting Lamb.

It's still blazing. Living in Texas I watched few of his games last year and looking at highlights he was clearly the fast guy on the field. He's our legit deep threat but not just a 1 trick pony either. He's all over the field with screens, slants, over middle, and on a go route. PR skills are an added bonus as well.

My kind of guy. That game speed is real. Now we have three take it to the house guys (Sanders, Reagor, Scott), four if DeSean can get back on the field. We dont always have to have 50 play dink and dunk drives because only our RBs can make a play.

Jalen Reagor is such a stud wish people could see it, the way he snaps in his routes is nuts

Yup the best way ive heard it said us " hes a " violent" route runner

Uggg thats not a good mental pic. I dont have anything against lamb but now i gotta hope he fails because hes a stupid cowboy. I wish lamb would have gone to another team cuz i really do like him but it is what it is.😞

Alshon ran a 4.48 at the 2012 combine and a 4.38 at his pro day, so yeah, that is plenty fast for a guy who is capable of physically dominating with his 6'3" 218 body.

That was the last time Alshon ran under 4.5, certainly never did in midnight green.

Anyone notice that the only owner that had a camera was look at me jerruh?

Wasn't he the only owner on there making picks?

So day 2.  I've got 3 ways the Eagles could go in rd 2.

Option A, another EDGE guy for rotation.  Terrel Lewis and Weaver stick out as guys in our range that fit our mold.

Option B, double dip on WR.   Higgins/Shenault/Pittman all 2nd rd guys that would complement Reagor well.

Option C, a safety.  Kyle Dugger and Winfield could be in range.

If somebody drops close we can trade up with Chicago to #50.

3rd Rd I'm pretty sold it's going to be a LB.  Willie Gay and Woodward from Boise St stand out as great fits.

Agreed for the most part.  Even though probably slower than 4.22, I feel confident he falls well ahead of the 4.47, and he may "play" faster that his timed speed because of extraordinary quickness.  BUT.  His speed is his game, and a guy at his size has to have extraordinary speed to be successful -- I am concerned that "one of the fastest guys on the field" rather than "clearly the fastest guy on the field" may not be good enough, because he is simply not going to be a "win contested balls" or "hold the defender off with his body" guy.

I thought he handed that off to his son a few years back.

Well, he is their GM as well.

I think Rd 2 will be S or a second WR if someone like a Mims or Higgins falls. I’d personally like Chinn, Winfield, Dugger or Davis. If we get a stud S that lets Mills move back to CB2 if Jones or Maddox or a rookie can’t win the job.

I think Rd 3 will be either 2nd wideout (Claypool, V Jefferson, Duvernay, etc) or an OLB like Gay, Wilson, Martin or Taylor.

I went over to the enemy's message board and according to Jerry Jones, the Cowboys were offered 3 trade offers at 17.  I have a feeling Howie called them and that might be why Jerry and McCarthy were laughing when they kept the pick.

I don't agree at all, I love the way he fights for the football.  Might drop a couple but he's really good at finding the shortest route to the ball and going after it.  Jumps well too.  he is not small, 5'11" and built like a RB.

He's fast enough. I'm not concerned about his speed. I just don't want him to play like Agholor who often looked skittish...tiptoeing instead of going all out and then the drops.

I read that he wasn’t a crisp route runner. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hoping for Gibson, Mims. Looks like they have some interest in the Appalachian Running Back. He seems interesting.

If anyone doesnt think his pro day 40 time was legit just time it for urself, the video is online lol

A great break isn't the same as breaking at the right spot.  Both can be true.

If nothing else this kid has a LOT of dog in him. He’s not going to be skittish like Nervous Nelly.

Hes certainly no jerry jeudy but his burst/cuts in his route are very nice. He didnt show an extensive route tree in college but i'm not really worried about that
