If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

In general terms I would agree. But in this specific case I'd say that quality at that position trumps the usual way to go.

I wouldn’t know since I don’t follow college. I just know I don’t like spending a 3rd rounder on a player who, ideally, you hope never sees the field. Same with Thorson last year. I’m ok trying to develop a late round QB as a backup or future trade asset. I just didn’t like doing it with us only having 5 total picks. I wanted a guy who could potentially contribute there.

I’m ok with that, but I’m also prepared for them to go in completely different directions.

BTW, the second round begins at 7pm EST for those wondering when it resumes.

I mean we got Reagor so I feel slightly more relaxed but we still need to add another WR.

I have to imagine they know that and will add another later or via trade.

Mims , Higgins, Pittman, Hamler all 2nd round projections???

Claypool , Duvernay in the 3rd???

With the desperate need out of the way one of today's pick has to be a lb. The other could be almost any position except te QB or dt.

I mean yeah I hope so.

I think Claypool is an intriguing one in the 3rd. Not sure there's such a need for Duvernay now given we need someone to play opposite Jackson / Reagor... But I do like him.

I like claypool as a player one can move all over and create misatches. Line him up at X or Z and let over whelm corners with his size. Put him in the slot and let him beat up nickels in the pass or run game. Hes too big for DBs and too fast for LBs but im not sure how that fits with ertz and goedert moving all over the formation basically being big WRs

Michael Pittman baby.  Double up on WR’s

Antonio Gandy Golden

Im happy with the Reagor pick. Glad we didnt trade up giving up many picks, we need more youth.

Hopefully we pick up another WR, and OL, and a secondary player at least.

I like pittman. Saw him play against Utah who has a pretty good D and Pittman lit them up for over 200 yards they had zero answers for pittman

4.47 is what they said.  That’s not speed. 😔

They did say his game tape shows he plays faster than that.

As a development project I certainly like him and the mismatches you can create with him.

40 times can be misleading and even then reagors 40 time in indy was misleading as he had just put on weight and just had a bad run.

His tape he looks a lot faster where as you look at guys like mims or jefferson whom both had fast times and they look slower on tape.

Brian Westbrook ran a 4.5 at the combine nothing wow! But when he was on the field he was one of the fastest guys on the field.

Game speed matters, timed speed in a straight line in underwear, not as much.

Reagors game speed is legit.

Pittman is the only pure route runner left on the boards. My only concern with him is his speed but we have seen 4.5 players have success. If he can win at the next level with that polished route tree he can be a beast.

Thank you. I need to feel better about this pick. I hope he is a good player for us.

I think higgins is a pretty good route runner as well.

I think pittman and higgins are very comparable.

Higgins a bit more length and better ball skills and both need to get more physical at LOS but boy both of them can really get the ball.

Its also been mentioned in this thread that he had a top speed of 22 something mph on a play which was .3 mph faster than any player in the nfl last year.

Hes fast.

I really like Higgins Tape. He has deceptive speed, with long strides. He catches the ball with his hands at the high point. He uses his big frame to get position on D backs. He runs good routes and gets separation. He shows enough speed to get deep as well and he was very productive against top competition. But that doesn't mean he's a good fit for us.

Yup. I think hes the 1st pick today.

Cincy needs a WR and theres been smoke linking higgins to cincy.

I think hes a steal in the 2nd.

I'd like to see Reagor and Jackson run a 40 against each other. Who's the fastest dog? Inquiring minds would like to know.

So, what's next?  I wouldn't mind a double down on WRs.  Higgins, Mims or Shenault.  I would take a hard look at Winfield, Jr or Delpit.  Also Willie Gay, Jr has the same type of ability that Murray does but has some off field issues.
