Obviously I mean not just believing in their existence somewhere in the universe, but that they've travelled to our solar system and entered our planet's atmosphere for the sole purpose of dazzling some navy pilots just off the coast of San Diego. Rogan believes this, and he's a moron.

It's the DMT, lol.

When it comes to matters of science, if you ever find yourself agreeing with druggie podcast hosts who believe in aliens, you might want to reconsider your position.

You don't?

Yeah I have always found it hard to believe aliens traveled all the way here, expending huge amount of energy doing so, and then snuck around to avoid detection by humans who must seem like ants to them.

Aliens have never visited our solar system. Period. Everything we know about physics and our place in the universe rules this out as a possibility now and in the foreseeable future. To think otherwise is either incredibly naive or ignorant. Fun for movies or to sell a book, but ridiculous if meant to be taken seriously.

How so? Either way, there is much about physics we still don't know, so this position assumes that aliens would not have an upper-hand on science and tech.

You're no fun.

Ah, I see your mistake.  You think we know everything about physics and the universe around us.

Distance, energy, and time, to put it simply. Everything we know about the relationship between these subjects determines the likelihood of such a scenario, and it's zero percent. Could our understanding be incomplete or incorrect in some way? Of course. But certainly not to the degree that the basic tenets would change in such a wholesale way that the resultant determination changes.

Again, there is your fallacy.  What if wormholes exist?  What if black holes can be used as portals to other galaxies\universes?  What if beings evolved to perceive the 5th dimension as a physical one?

Have you learned nothing from Matthew McConaughey?

Not me, the vast majority of astrophysicists. I mean, if it makes you feel better to call it 0.0000000000001% instead of absolute zero, then sure.

Can the vast majority of astrophysicists accurately describe dark matter and how it can potentially be harvested?

Oh ok. 0.00000000000002%, fair point.

Here we go...

Can't wait until he starts in on the population density of alien colonies

Great point.

This is the type of cocksureness only a person 5'5 or shorter could muster.

Well, it is estimated that it accounts for 85% of all matter.....

I can't believe you keep referencing your terrible take.  Why won't you let your self own die?  Its like a teenage girl putting on an Alanis Morissette album and cutting herself

Look at this small town!  They only have 18 buildings with double digit stories!  How quaint!

That is a belief. Not a fact.

What we know about the Universe is incredibly minuscule.

I guess I forget who it was that labeled it a small town.  It was incredibly stupid so I guess I defaulted to you.  My apologies.

I'll change the question, why do you keep bringing up other folks' self owns?  What need of yours does it fulfill?
