Covid in it's current state isn't analogous to the flu. For a lot of people, there's a significant risk in simply living with it. We should be honest about that. It's just that at some point we have to get back to normal no matter what the risk is. And for me, I passed that point a long time ago.

I didn't think saying "basically a cold" when making a different point would get people triggered. I clarified, cited news sources saying cold-like symptoms and other similar phrases but people still got bent out of shape. I also clarified and said it's not "just a cold" (I never used that phrase) and I said obviously we're still dealing with COVID but that hospitalizations and deaths are less severe with the newer variants. You are arguing a straw man.
