The experts have said despite how fast the newer variants spread, they are less severe so they don't expect any new lockdowns. Fauci said it, the Biden administration said it. I included that as part of several points backing up that - again broken record here - we don't need mask mandates for kids in schools when adults aren't wearing masks, we're not in lockdowns, the variants aren't as severe, etc. So what you're saying is, you support forcing kids to wear masks while adults can stand in photo ops with them maskless...that's how CVON arguments work right? I've been ready for that policy to end for a while. But at the same time, you throw around a lot of right wing nonsense when making that point. Omicron isn't just a cold. Covid in it's current state isn't analogous to the flu. For a lot of people, there's a significant risk in simply living with it. We should be honest about that. It's just that at some point we have to get back to normal no matter what the risk is. And for me, I passed that point a long time ago.

Cough, congestion, shortness of breath, chest tightness etc. It doesn't really comment on severity. Legionnaires disease and rhinovirus both have "cold like symptoms" but obviously have very different severity and concern levels Basically a cold =\= cold like symptoms. People got "bent out of shape" because it was a really dumb thing to say and your sources really don't back up the point you think you're making.
