July 20, 20223 yr Lots of peds offices don't even have the shots stocked yet either. Shockingly coordinating mass orders/shipments of a new product to tens of thousands of offices takes time. Who've guessed?
July 20, 20223 yr Yeah, I think there's some regulation in a lot of states where kids under 5 need to get vaccinated at a pediatrician rather than at a pharmacy. Both of my kids got all 3 of their shots at a pharmacy because it was easier than booking an appt at the office.

We all went to Walgreens...but my youngest is 11 so I don't know about the under 5 group.
July 20, 20223 yr I got my second booster vaccination (fourth overall/Pfizer) last week, and lemme tell you, it hit me harder than the first three combined. Fever, chills, sort throat, cold. Felt like crap for two days and it took me two more days after that til I got back to normal. My father had his on Monday and he's still sick.

The lymph nodes under my armpit were swollen for more than a week after the first booster.

You might also have an actual cold or covid itself. A sore throat is not a side effect of vaccination.

Probably going to have to rely on waste water data to really get an idea of when "outbreaks" are happening now. Have a 2 month old patient in the ICU with respiratory failure and cardiomyopathy from COVID. Really depressing. Seeing the same at the hospital I’m at. Up to 35 Covid beds. Only 5 in icu though. Most of the non ICU cases seem pretty mild. Definitely nothing nearly as bad as Delta was at least

LOTS of cases and a fair amount of admitted patients but very few in ICU and those there are not vaccinated and have no formal positive result earlier. Still, a large wave for the summer period.

July 21, 20223 yr I haven't had it yet - or if I did I didn't know I had it. Then again I don't test myself just for the hell of it like some weirdo so who knows

July 21, 20223 yr I don't think I've had it. I'm pretty sure I'd never develop symptoms if I did because of the shape I'm in and the supplements I take, though.

He had bladder cancer a few years ago and thought it was beat. Now it's everywhere. Sucks, he's a great guy. Very giving and would help anyone.

Sorry dude. My FIL was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer last July and has been on hospice since January. Man's a force of nature. Still up and mobile (just saw him for his birthday 2 weeks ago). They gave him 2-3 months when he went into hospice, and he is still going. Have faith and enjoy the time left.

Sorry to hear about your FIL. They told him he had 6 months if he doesn't do chemo, and the chemo may gave him an extra year or so. He's also participating a study that may or may not help.
