Hell, during the bubonic plague most people were fine. The problem is, ignoring the fact that we're in a pandemic keeps the pandemic going because just enough people will get infected to keep the virus spreading. But yes, you've proven that most people will survive this just fine. As humans have done, so far, since the beginning of our existence.
