July 23, 20205 yr Oh...Trump demanding the FBI Headquarters stay where it is, supplying business to his hotel. And requiring that in the aid bill. SEEMS LEGIT Quote Complicating matters, the White House renewed its push for language related to the location of the Federal Bureau of Investigation building in downtown Washington, D.C., which is caddy corner from Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Ave NW. Trump has expressed in the location of the FBI’s headquarters for some time, according to two people with knowledge of the talks who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss them. The details were unclear, but the Trump administration previously scrapped a plan to move the FBI headquarters to the suburbs, instead seeking to rebuild a new FBI building in its current location. It was unclear what this had to do with the coronavirus. A White House spokesman declined to comment.

July 23, 20205 yr It's not true. Numbers from weeks ago are being added to it to claim that those are one day deaths. They are not.

Another albatross for Trump, at the pace we are going the 200k milestone will hit about 1-3 weeks before the election.

The argument melts as soon as the death avg stays over 1k for 3-4 days straight. That will be this weekend.

It may mean that their was a spike of deaths that didn’t get reported weeks ago, but not necessarily now. Sure, more deaths from now could also be reported in coming weeks indicating their really is a spike now, but that remains to be seen. Again, though, a death is someone who died with it, not necessarily from it.

A review of excess mortality data shows that the amount of excess deaths in this country significantly exceeds the COVID death count. If anything, the COVID death count is an UNDERCOUNT.

Well someone suggested people might "catch cancer" from the vaccine, several people have mentioned this thing being a manufactured Chinese bioweapon, and several people keep harping on the idea that there's some mass conspiracy running through the government/media/medical community to artificially boost the number of deaths. So yeah. We kinda do.
July 24, 20205 yr For the "COVID Deaths are inflated!" crowd. From 2/1/20 to 5/30/20 (going back 8 weeks because that's how long it typically takes for CDC data to be 100% complete), there were 144,000 excess deaths in this country. During that same period, there were 108,000 "official" COVID deaths. I don't know how anyone can look at that data and think that the COVID death total is inflated. That gap is likely explained by the following: 1) An undercount of COVID deaths. Especially from early on in the pandemic when testing wasn't as abundant as it is today. 2) Misattribution of COVID deaths to other illnesses, such as non-respiratory deaths caused by complications from COVID. 3) Indirect deaths due to the pandemic, such as delayed access to care. But one thing is for certain, and that is that the "official" COVID death count is absolutely NOT inflated. At the very least, it is an undercount.

Yea but a guy died in a car crash that was ruled as Covid!!!! (that the CDC later corrected but who cares about details)
