Our government in the UK is adamant that we can't take the approach of shielding the elderly and the vulnerable whilst allowing everyone else to get back to some form of normality. I really don't understand that argument. Why can't we? Why wouldn't it work?

Their argument is that the evidence right now shows us it spreads amongst younger age groups and is now hitting the elderly etc. Well duh of course it is... They aren't shielding you morons. Jesus our government!

Didn't you know that mask wearing has been the scourge of the medical professionals for years? They know that wearing a mask for multiple hour surgeries to make sure that the person that they are operating on does not get an infection, is equivalent to drinking your own urine. This is something that Dr Nick Riviera has been complaining about for years!

Bingo. There's plenty of evidence of this everywhere, including in this forum. They follow his example, and listen to what he says. It's one of many reasons why I say he's responsible for the deaths of so many people throughout this.

This is even crazier than your flat Earth nonsense.

People wear masks in their job day in and day out. The people wearing masks (from painters on down) are all not dropping like flies from immune system failures. Race car drivers, pilots, people working in clean rooms, doctors, nurses, the list goes on and on.

Wearing a surgical mask is not "quarantining" - it is a simple measure to help reduce the amount of virus/germ being exhaled by sick people. It is used all over the world specifically for that reason. To lessen YOU spreading infection. Not eliminate. Not make zero.

It is even LESS effective at stopping you from breathing in droplets, but it none the less, does reduce the amount you take into your body.

It is rendered useless fairly easily.

That said, wearing  a mask in public reduces the amount of virus in the air. This is not an opinion.

For the record:

Oxygen and CO2 molecules are very small. So small, in fact, that a mask looks like a picket fence with gaps big enough to drive a truck through.

Droplets are generally bigger than CO2 molecule trucks and do not fit through the fibers of the mask.

These are readily available facts, although not approved by the Flat Earth Society of Sciency Types.
