Ours was based on 2018 and we received it a couple of weeks ago. Have not received the $10k SBA loan/grant yet but we did get an email a few days ago saying it was still being processed. The company I work for received a $230k PPP loan this week.

How can we get the economy back rolling if people have to worry about child care. My wife and I are both full time working from home and we are barely able to make it work with home schooling the kids. I have no clue what we would do if one of us was told we had to go back to the office full time with the kids still out. And that's serious. We can barely get our work done with the time involved with the kids. We aren't interested in constantly doting over them nor are we interested in just sitting them in front of the TV or ipads.. it has to be a balance and that is like a combined 3rd full time job in the house. i feel your pain on this one man. i jump back and forth from work, to my sons home schooling. todays is a perfect example as i haven't gotten shot done this morning really because I'm helping my lil guy with ratios.

We are a small grocery chain we don't have the proper people to see someone out the door. We really haven't had to deal with this to much. Maybe 1 or 2 people every other day comes in without a mask. Also being small with all the major chains surrounding us we can't really afford to kick customers out and deal with that backlash and risk losing more customers . It's definitely tough times.

The tests they took are said to be 98% effective. Previously used in Europe. There may have been some officially approved since last I checked but as of a week ago there were only something like 10-20 that were FDA "authorized" under emergency use authorization act out of close to 100-200 that were put on the market. They really relaxed their standards in order to get the test out and it came back to haunt them. Now that's not to say that some of them aren't (to the best of our knowledge) pretty good tests. And there is absolutely good reason to rush things and use data. However by some nature of the disease or by a desire not to miss any true positive tests, in general there has been an issue with poor positive predictive values (the probability that a person with a positive test actually has the disease). Even looking at just the FDA emergency authorized test data from their website you see PPVs with 95% confidence intervals of 92.9 (83.4-98.1), 82.9 (61.4-94.1), 91.7 (76.7-98.1), 55.2 (39.2-69.8), 46.8 (27.3-65.7), 88 (76.7-92.9), 100 (46%-100) 100 (46.2-100) lol, 100 (81.5-100), 100 (78.2-100), 96.5 (93.9-98.1), 79.4 (61-90.7). Now the ones at 100 but with a wide range of confidence interval I don't trust at all because that either means their numbers weren't adequate for the study or their data was really skewed. Otherwise some pretty good ones and some really awful ones. The issue is these PPVs are calculated based on 5% prevalence of the disease whereas coronavirus isn't even close to that. As prevalence decreases PPV also decreases meaning these very mixed bag of PPVs even in the handful of authorized tests are actually significantly worse than they appear at face value. I'm glad the FDA tried to remove roadblocks for these tests in the face of such a need and it seems as if they're getting better as they go along (I've heard promising things about the Roche and Abbott Architect tests). But as of right now there are some serious flaws to keep in mind.

If you catch any of the news alot of grocery stores are starting to deal with violence. We have highschool kids outside sanitizing carts and trying to remind people to have their make on. Same reason everything associated with PC nonsense immediately attributed to the Democrats, whether or not the person doing the PC nonsense is a Democrat. Because they own the issue. The Republicans wrestled conspiracy theory nutcases away from the left around the time Obama won the election and that's where those people have stayed. The funny thing about Republican conspiracy theories is that throughout history, almost every time there's a conspiracy, the President is involved somehow, which makes sense since he's in charge of the government, but somehow Repulibcans have managed to propagate global conspiracy theories in the age of Trump where the President is an unwitting hero fighting the conspiracies. And yet they keep happening. It's hilarious and makes no sense.

Like assuming an abortion clinic protester is on the right . Which side has people trying to play up the virus? Which side has people trying to play it down. So, when you have a guy calling it a complete hoax, it's a pretty safe assumption as to what side he is on.
