That dude mentally retarded. Seriously. He's for real mentally retarded. And he's worshipped by 40% of the country as a genius. What does that make those people? What's dumber than mentally retarded?

1. Clearly, no.

2. I'll play. Is Nancy Pelosi telling people to inject bleach into their bloodstreams to kill coronavirus?

Mark Burnett did a hell of a job.

When you say outside their home, you talking at stores or out and about?

Walking around the neighborhood, not seeing a ton of people wearing masks (though I have seen some). But it's easy to keep distance, and people are doing so.

In any place of business everybody is wearing masks.

Outside, but in groups. It isn't like I'm outside doing yard work without a mask. I mean it is groups of neighbors (kids and adults) that are doing something like walking, biking, etc. around their neighborhood without one.

It's edited I think but still I'm really tired of pretending this guy's somehow a good leader now because he can manage to sit in front of a mic without attacking experts and having explosive verbal diarrhea like his boss.  Dude is still an empty suit.

I don't really see a problem with that if they're keeping distance from other people.

5/8/20 Update from the doc

https://www.nothingbutthetruthmd.com/2020/05/5820-covid-19-update.html

Good evening,
JAMA Network
View Point

Understanding Covid-19 Diagnostic Testing

RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction)

The RT-PCR  test usually utilizes nasopharyngeal swabs or other respiratory tract specimens including bronchial (deeper aireway), throat and saliva to detect the virus.  The different sources for the specimen offer varying degrees of certitude of viral detection, which may also vary during the cycle of the disease.

There are a variety of RNA (the genetic material of this virus) gene targets utilized by different manufacturers, but the test results are all comparable.

A positive PCR test result reflects only the detection of viral RNA and does not necessarily indicate viable virus. (virus that are infective)  Infectivity and PCR positive tests seem to decline beyond eight days after symptoms have begun.  In severe cases PCR may remain positive for up to three weeks but does not necessarily  correspond with infectivity.  PCR tests may return a positive result prior to symptoms. Literature from Taiwan and South Korea suggests that infectivity and positive PCR tests may begin up to five days prior to symptoms.  Attempts to isolate the virus in culture were not successful after eight days of  symptomatic illness.

The CDC has adopted their "symptom based strategy" from this data.  Their strategy allows essential workers to return to work after three days have passed since recovery.  Recovery is defined as three days without fevers (without taking medications to reduce the fever) and without cough, or shortness of breath.

PCR positive tests may be obtained from sputum and stool for extended periods of time.

False negative tests may result from poor timing of the testing or inadequate samples.  False positives are uncommon.

An important point to take home is that a positive test does not necessarily indicate that an individual is infective.  Non-infective genetic material can be found on surfaces for an extended period of time if not cleaned. Once the viral capsule breaks down the virus is no longer infectice.  The degradation of the viral capsule occurs at different rates, on different surfaces and various environmental conditions.  This is not a hardy virus, capsule breakdown can occur in a few minutes under UV light or heat and may take several days on steel.

The time from inoculation to infectivity is thought to take about three days, the time it takes for the virus to replicate enough for sufficient viral load in respiratory secretions.  It is believed that viral shedding a is consistent with ample viral genetic material for detection by the RT-PCR test .

Some suggest that there is a three day window from the time of a negative test to infectivity.  I am not aware of data that would support this opinion.  A patient is infected on day one, needs three days for the virus to replicate sufficiently to be detected, is tested on day 2.5, which should generate a negative test, but in another day will be infective.  What happened to the three day window?

In the symptomatic patient, a careful history, in concert with testing information, allows the most accurate analysis of the patient's status.

Numbers:  1800 from the Hopkins website

Tests - 8,408,513 (303,000 tests in the last 24 hours)

USA - 1,281,246 (up 2.26%, down from 2.41%$ the day before, 1151 fewer new cases than the day before)EmojiEmoji

New York -330,407 (up 0.89%, down from 1.95%, 3309 fewer new cases than the day before)EmojiEmoji

New Jersey -135,840 (up1.65%, up from 1.32% the day before)Emoji

Pennsylvania - 57371 (up 2.52% up from 2.10% the day before)Emoji

Maryland - 30,485 (up 3.78%, down from 4.29% the day before, 100 fewer new cases than the day before)EmojiEmoji

California - 62,547 (up 2.30%, down from 3.76%, 809 fewer new cases than the day before)EmojiEmoji

South Carolina Emoji

Texas - 36,936 (up 4.37%, up from 204% the day before)EmojiEmoji

World - 3,926,724 (up 2.41% down from 2.7% the day before, 9144 fewer new cases than the day before)EmojiEmoji

I have not reported on bed utilization for the last six days..  In this six day period of time, every state but Texas and Maryland have seen a decrease in the number of beds utilized for Covid-19 patients.  New York has not seen an increase in new cases over 2% in over 10 days, New Jersey hasn't seen an increase over 2% in five days.  Two states were wearing masks is really being emphasized.

Thank you for passing this message along, the more people that comply with safe living practices, the sooner we will rid ourselves of the effects of this virus on our society.
