Third shot? Nah, I'm good. This has just turned into panic porn that new outlets can fill the hours with now that they don't have 17 hours of orange man coverage. Time to start living our lives again.

Wow, this is outstanding!

That is great.  Unironically.  But for some reason, I feel like you're being sarcastic.

Its due to everyone wearing masks and socially distancing, but you keep on pushing nonsense (along with denier Dr Drew)

Thank you for the completely normal, not at all psychotic response.

more people are wearing masks & social distancing  now than during a typical flu season...but i know the repug deep thinkers are allergic to common sense & facts.

I tell you what, there is a drive up covid test spot in Raleigh and they have it figured out.  Super easy, fast and less than 10 hours we got our results.  I would do it weekly.

There is one in Doylestown.  Get results in 30 minutes

you really need to do some true scientific research on why COVID is more contagious compared to the flu.  Here, I'll start you off

400,000 hospitalizations to 165, all due to social distancing and mask use that can't sufficiently control Covid-19. Fascinating!

You need to go to as many indoor mass gatherings as you can, and lick all the door knobs as you go. That's the only way to stick it to these libs!

Man, you really are Kz's fluffer, aren't you?

An uptick in vaccination may be another factor. The CDC stated that as of Dec. 4, 189.4 million flu vaccine doses were distributed throughout the nation, the highest ever recorded during a single influenza season.

It has been required for schools in some states which is probably a big factor.

Hopefully they do the same for the covid vaccine in Fall '22

Lot of factors involved there but we'll see.  If it's still prevalent and the vaccine has been approved for kids at that point then I imagine it would be but who knows.

What was it the year before and a normal year?  Are we talking 5 million more or 80 million?

Edit: Found it. Looks like it went up a bit, but not a great amount. 15 million.  (I wonder what caused the big spike (and then drop) in 2010-2011).  So that factor is negligible when talking about the drop in flu this year, IMO.

Up until a few years ago I never got the flu shot.  This year I made a point since it was (rumored?) that it helps alleviate COVID symptoms if you caught it.

Spike in 2010 was from H1N1.

I agree that vaccinations aren't as much of a factor as masks and distancing. We all expected a very mild flu season this winter, wasn't exactly a surprise to anyone except Dr. Drew.

I know this is your shtick but until it's been proven to infect someone vaccinated with the pfizer or moderna vaccine, I'm not too concerned.
