Let us not forget. There’s a whole lot of dead people-still dying due to this particular illness.  It’s always going to be out there.  At least for the foreseeable future.  Do your part.  Take care of your elders, and don’t think just cause you’re vaccinated absolves you. Not now. Too soon.  

I want to see the real data on the length of vaccination effectiveness.  That’s the real info we need.  And I fully believe it’ll be an annual thing they push forward everyone to get.

I agree.  But warmer weather is coming and peeps are gonna be like been there done it.  So stupid.  I really think we are leaning towards a disinfecting lifestyle.  Especially at peak times.  Maybe like another flu, hopefully not so deadly, but it will be several years to be totally gone. If ever?

I don’t know but is it Bad that I’m actually quite pleased at the 50k new  cases per day number?  I feel like that’s a reason to be celebrating.  A year ago it was frightening. Now it’s like the tsunami has passed and the ocean is calming.  Or I’m just falsely optimistic.

Yes, checked at 5am and they said check back later that they would be opening scheduler.

Checked back ever 15min, got in at 6:15. Went thru all the dates and was told they were all booked.  Went back to main page to see if it said appointments were full, but it was showing there were still openings.  Went back in and lo and behold I got a slot. YEAH !

No appointment yet, but she's still trying.  Demand too high and supply is way short.  Hope by the end of March these numbers improve.  The county it seems is only receiving 1/2 of what they are requesting.

I know it's easier said than done for some people but people need to start looking for appointments in the smaller outlying counties like this.  

My mother is over 75, blind in one eye and handicapped.  She would never be able to log into a site and quickly book an appointment before other people took all the time slots.

I got her to create an account on the major pharmacy websites and give me her log ins so I could book one for her.  Appointments in this area book really fast because of the population density so I kept moving further away until I got her an appointment at a rite aid in Shippensburg.  It's 4 hours round trip to get her there and back but at least she got the vaccine.

The med companies have all missed in their estimations of how much they could produce.  The supply chains for all of the stuff needed to make the materials seems to be the main culprit.  I read that each of the solutions requires 100+ individual ingredients.

Well seeing how there was a census in 2020 you would think the State knows where the population densities are and send them more product.   It's absolutely ridiculous -you taking your mother on a 4 hour tour.

So, my mom texted me yesterday that she was able to get an appt. because her friend told her that a new slate just opened up at 9 AM and she got set up for Thurs. I sent the word to my GF who's also in 1A, and she gets her first shot Fri. I'm patiently waiting my turn for 1B. I just hope I can get it done before our trip to Hawaii in early June.

Well the media is telling us how many millions of doses are being shipped everyday.  While I don't doubt your statement is true, then it only compounds that the distribution is totally f'd.   I still need to know how Montour county was already alloted more than their total population.  Something is really really wrong here.
