Pfizer CEO saying an application filling for FDA approval for 12-15 yr olds is imminent, months earlier than expected. Well tolerated and excellent efficacy results in this age group which bodes well for the next group, 8-11 yr olds hopefully before the end of the year.

Get F'ed covid!

Wonderful!! its almost over

New info over here today.  Our plan for all people over 18 getting their first shot is now moved to Aug 15th.  This is all due to AZ supply issues, problems in Production facility in Belgium, and US not allowing AZ vaccine export even though there are no plans to use it.

So unlucky my family can get vaccinated until the middle of the summer at earliest.

btw - Neighbor family has tested positive for the 2nd time.  The 1st bout was at least six months back.

good to know that after 6 mos they're seeing neither a lack of efficacy nor long-term side effects.

I'm no anti-vaxxer, and I will be getting it as soon as I am able. but I also think it's reasonable for some to be cautious and skeptical, assuming that's not driven by politics or a broader anti-vax view. I know a few thoughtful and intelligent people who are very pro-vaccination in the general sense, but do harbor some apprehension about vaccines that have not been subject to long term studies.

My wife is skeptical for those reasons but got vaccinated anyway. In the end its still safer to get the shot than to risk getting covid. I can understand why a pregnant woman might not see it that way.

I know my SIL who works in a hospital says even some nurses and workers are still apprehensive.  Especially the younger ones that don't have kids.  Just don't know if there are long-term side effects in that department.  Not anti-vax people just younger people who are unsure about the long-term.  As for me...I put an end to the baby dept not long after the mrs fired out #2, so I have no reservations there.  Unless this thing undoes vasectomies.  It doesn't do that does it?

Oh and another co-worker got the vid.  That's 3 in the last month after a year of nobody getting it.  Bucks needs to get their crap together so I can get my shot.

I don't disagree, but I can respect someone who is in general pro-vaccine but is a bit more cautious about the COVID vaccines.

I'll still be getting it, and I think most absolutely should.

Should also help put to rest the notion that it's just as ineffective as the J&J vaccine against b1.351 or b1.1.7.

Hope so man

Did they give him an oral steroid?  Even though his breathing was fine when he was at the hospital doesn't mean it will remain that way.  You're going to have to keep checking on him.  At least for the next several days.    I do hope he does well.
