Been two weeks since my second.  My signal is off the charts, and now that my arm is magnetized, I don't have to wear one of those stupid bands to keep my phone on my arm while jogging.

You didn’t opt for the integrated satellite radio?  I’ve got 170 channels of commercial free music and joe Rogan podcasts.

Not possible. He has been silenced.

When I get my next upgrade I will be able to open the garage door by blinking real fast. Now that's convenient.

No need to insert my card at the pump either, just fist bump the 93 octane and go.

That's the one that I was hoping one of you would say because it illustrates my point perfectly. You can pull up clips of both Clintons and Obama talking about restricting illegal immigration and border walls. Literally almost verbatim what Trump has said that gets him called a NSDAP. lmao

But yeah, I'm not sure rolling back EPA regulations that didn't exist pre obama qualifies as moving to the right as opposed to returning to normalcy. Agreed on Republicans being fiscally irresponsible. They're mostly liars and swamp creatures with no real interest in doing anything that will draw criticism. Like the rest of the DC elite, they're beneath contempt.

So you are not sure that that moving something from the left to the right qualifies as moving to the right? I mean I know you are pretty f'ing stupid, but come on. I thought you at least knew your left and right.

Ky! Heading into this weekend.

It was started with altruistic means because it's literally a life or death problem.  Are there financial downsides to it?  Sure, but it's worth it.  It's the difference between people dying without medical care and them living.  Focus on the numbers if you want but the upside for saving people's life is going to outweigh any math you throw most people's way.

And Medicare wasn't designed for people temporarily down on their luck.  It was designed for people to die with dignity.  Again, it's about priorities as a society.  For me, some things are too important.  Medical care is one of those things.  I understand the other side of this issue, I just fundamentally disagree with it.

EMTALA was started to prevent hospitals from transferring uninsured patients out of their ERs and to other hospitals.
It has turned into people using the ER as their primary care.

Harry Truman is rolling over in his grave.

If I recall correctly, Truman was the first president to push for national healthcare.

We get the leaders we deserve. The rot at the core remains the rapid decline of intellect and knowledge among the voting public.

The one where he gets to keep posting his stockpile of Fauci cartoons.

That one - he keeps writing new material for himself.

The ABC news report did state the 1 in 3 children were children with an underlying condition.  But yes, not everyone listens closely to know they were not reporting on the total young population, so although technically the report is not false, it is not responsible journalism.

If that's true why do you have such a hard time finding cartoons that are funny?

Saw someone at the grocery store yesterday wearing two masks (and a pair of gloves).  I know that was a thing for a bit.  I was confused as I’d imagine anyone who would wear two masks would’ve received the vaccine and thus not required to wear the mask in the store.  Sure, there will be plenty of people who wear a mask after being fully vaccinated, but wearing two masks seemed odd to me.

Getting my 13 year old son the vaccine tomorrow. Obviously him being sterile afterwards is not ideal but I don’t really want grandkids anyway.  Pleasing Bill Gates is more important to me.

2nd Pfizer yesterday. Arm is sore today. Nothing else. Between  my immune system kicking that bioweapon's azzz back in December and my 2 part spike protein targeting system installation, I'm feeling pretty good about my chances vs. another COVID-19 exposure.

If you are an adult with children and can't afford medical insurance, you are by DEFINITION irresponsible. Why did you have kids if you can't care for them?

So was with a group of people recently and overheard a conversation between two of them both agree that they were not getting the vaccine for this very reason.  One of them is very liberal and the other one of them is pro Trump, so I found it interesting they had common ground on this.

Anyway, is there anything legitimate out there that suggests this?

No.

I only heard about it because my ex wife tried to use that as a reason not to get him vaccinated. She also believes crystals have healing powers though so....

I’m sure it’s nothing, but the Obama Administration actually lifted the moratorium on gain-of-function research 11 days before Trump took office. Odd that the media never mentioned this.

Recommended Policy Guidance for Potential Pandemic Pathogen Care and Oversight

JANUARY 9, 2017 AT 9:06 AM ET BY .
Summary:
OSTP Issues "Recommended Policy Guidance for Departmental Development of Review Mechanisms for Potential Pandemic Pathogen Care and Oversight (P3CO)"

Today, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) is releasing "Recommended Policy Guidance for Departmental Development of Review Mechanisms for Potential Pandemic Pathogen Care and Oversight (P3CO).”  Adoption of these recommendations will satisfy the requirements for lifting the current moratorium on certain life sciences research that could enhance a pathogen’s virulence and/or transmissibility to produce a potential pandemic pathogen (an enhanced PPP).

Issuance of this policy guidance concludes the deliberative process launched in October 2014 by OSTP and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). At that time, OSTP and HHS asked the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity (NSABB), as informed by feedback from the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences, to provide recommendations to help shape the development and adoption of a new United States Government policy governing the funding and conduct of this category of research. While NSABB deliberated, such projects were placed on pause.

What’s the over/under on how long it takes before this memo disappears from the interweb?

Is Florida the only state no longer reporting daily covid cases?

Well first off, there really wasn’t a "moratorium” on research to begin with. There was a moratorium on NEW funding for certain proposed research.  It had no affect on existing research.  Also out of 21 proposed projects that were affected by the halt in new funding, 11 of them still got approved to go ahead anyway.

This is a dishonest argument in all seriousness.  The U.S. has basically socialized one industry in the last 100 years - medicine.

I'm sorry, but maybe you are not aware of the equity stakes the US government took in financial institutions 10 years ago?

Or the entire education system?
