I'm sorry, but maybe you are not aware of the equity stakes the US government took in financial institutions 10 years ago?

Or the entire education system?

Is there a bigger failure in human history than socialism?

In case anyone missed it...

And, supposedly, Wray is just learning about this from the DIA because -- shocker -- they believe the FBI and CIA have been infiltrated by ChiCom spies. But everyone with a brain knew this was a lab leak at least a year ago, so it's just going to be official confirmation of what the non-braindead already knew.

The real fun stuff is going to start if/when the connection to the PLA bio-weapons program starts getting public traction. Hint: gain of function research in China isn't just to help prevent diseases.

Nah, they've been very effective at spreading their ideas and implementing their disastrous policy.

Communism? I guess it depends on what definitions/measures you're looking at but I'd argue there are more "successful" countries with predominantly socialist philosophies than communist ones at this point.

Most "communist" countries were more socialist than communist in practice, but sure, I'll buy that.

Btw, conservative media is all over this Chinese defector story like flies on sh—.

...but I think I’ll wait for someone credible to report it before I put any stock in it.

I read some of the Dr. Fauci e-mails and I’m not sure what the big fuss is.  Oh, he changed his mind??

Feudalism was wildly successful in comparison to socialism. Fascism is a form of socialism, and ironically, the most economically successful version of it. Hunter gatherer tribes sustained human existence for thousands of years in a near zero technological state, so definitely not.

Housley was sounding the alarm on COVID back in January 2020 and the Wuhan lab leak shortly thereafter. But yeah, the "credible" sources are the people who said it was just the flu and that the Wuhan lab leak was a conspiracy theory for the last 18 months.

Well, show us the evidence then.  Because I’m not that into believing randos on twitter just because they’ve been repeating the same thing for 18 months.  There’s also people who have been saying the earth is flat since January of 2020...

I don't think I remember reading any posts here that said covid was absolutely NOT from a lab.

Randos on twitter?

Housley is a legit reporter. Covered all sorts of national and international news from the Iraq war to the Trayvon Martin riots. The fact is he's been more credible than your favored talking heads, who have been wrong about virtually everything.

Plenty of people did, especially on the old board.

Then there must be a quote somewhere in almost 700 pages......

Most places are some kind of blend at this point so a direct comparison is kinda moot I suppose.

Most countries American demsocs label socialist are free market economies with large social safety nets and public healthcare funded by high levels of taxation and sometimes subsidized by sovereign wealth funds from oil reserves.

Wow, 25%. That seems significant.

Best clue to grasp the scope of the pandemic is excess deaths.  We’ve been saying that in this thread since last summer.

Luckily, I'm not a little whiny bi***, because they actually still care about wearing masks in Hawaii. I had just woken up and was getting on the elevator to go down to my car, and when the door opened, a lady inside asked "Do you have a mask?" I was still kinda groggy and hadn't realized I wasn't wearing one, but it was in my pocket. Can you believe that I didn't stamp my feet and throw a hissy fit about personal freedom? 😃
