I have a friend from college - huge Trump guy btw - who is constantly posting negative articles about Fauci on facebook.  He doesn’t post much either.  I’d say 50% of his facebook posts are anti Fauci.

I don't really understand what they think they have. It's an entirely manufactured "scandal".

There's literally nothing in those emails that is incompatible with the scientific process. 

Theories and recommendations change as we learn more. Suspicion of an engineered virus are nothing more than that - suspicions. And subsequent study by Anderson and others determined that an engineered virus is unlikely. 

Could it have been a lab leak? Yeah, and scientists - especially among themselves - are loathe to rule out any possibility unless there's definitive evidence to do so.

Their hatred for Fauci is visceral and has been on-going since the pandemic began.  It's really weird too.  Is there any other example of fan boys of a President directing their ire at a member of the administration that they love?  I can't think of one and it seems like a uniquely Trumpian thing to do.  With most Presidents anyone in the administration is an extension of the President, but Trump was such an absolutely horrible leader that instead of taking the heat off his subordinates, he publicly blamed them when things went wrong just to make sure that no accountability fell on him.

My absolute favorite is when the idiots referred to them as "leaked" emails. Dangerous levels of sodium for people who undoubtedly suffer from hypertension.

Fauci routinely gets attacked for lying about the virus.  What makes me laugh though - it’s Trump supporters attacking him.

I think a lot of it comes from Rand Paul's grandstanding. Then Fox News parrots it over and over again and it becomes a thing. The irony is, that no one cared about Rand Paul when he ran for president, but he came into his own as one of Trump's top arse kissers.

I don't think I've ever soured on any politician as much as I have with him. It churns my stomach to think I used to defend him and claimed he was one of the few principled members of congress.

He is such an epic disappointment. We all wanted him to be his father...and we were all fooled.

His father didn't bend to the neo cons. The man was one of the last principled politicians. Agree with Ron Paul or not, he wasn't going to change his views simply to fit the whims of the time.
