Even saying it "could” increase COVID survival rates by 200% is inferring claims based on data that is NOT there. Again, we have clinical trial after clinical trial after clinical trial that show HCQ is no more effective than a sugar pill. when a randomized blind clinical trial shows that HCQ is effective, THEN you can say that it COULD increase COVID survival rates and we’d need to analyze why that study turned out different as compared to all the other clinical trials that have been done that have shown it to be NOT effective. You're arguing with a guy who thinks the US government hacked colonial pipeline to make Biden look good. You really think someone that stupid can even begin to understand double blinded clinical trials?

I understand why you argue things I've never said. It's because you can't argue the things that I do say. If I didn't think the vaccines work, and that the virus is deadly, then my wife, my two adult sons and I would not have gotten vaccinated, probably before most people here. Vaccinating adults is one thing. We're now talking about vaccinating kids, and it's been shown that kids don't contract it, or spread it, as easily, and that they usually don't suffer effects as severe as adults when they do get it. Knowing that, the question then becomes, are the risks of the vaccine, if there are risks, worth it for kids? It's a question that needs to be raised and answered if you care about your kids. You've already claimed that you care about vaccines more.

Only a moron or a sick psychopath would pretend the risk of a vaccine related complication is higher than the risk of a covid related one.

You may be right, but deaths are currently being investigated, so, until those investigations are completed, the claim is invalid. I lean towards the vaccines being safe enough for kids 12-17, but give that belief less margin for error than with adults.

How about incidence rate of MIS-C? Long-term pulmonary issues? Or even more benign things like loss of sense of taste and smell? How often do those crop up in vaccinated kids? "Sorry you're still dealing with issues from covid 6 months later little Johnny, but Daddy's political allegiance was more important than your health. Surely you understand, right?"

Then everybody was out of school for like 2 weeks. We were told the illness is milder in younger children. I had a couple of friends who caught chicken pox in high school, it really sucked for them. Nothing you can do about scarlet fever. Scarlet fever was an interesting experience. I got strep throat really bad my senior year of high school, and my first two years of college. My second year of college I got it really bad, sick as a dog, then after I get over it, I got scarlet fever, then two weeks after that I had an allergic reaction to penicillin and got to the ER as my throat was almost swollen closed. Weird part, I have never had strep throat since. Any doctor I tell that to, gives me a confused look.

June 11, 20214 yr Guys, it's okay to acknowledge and discuss issues with vaccines, and that comes from someone that just got shot #2. Shutting down the conversation and basically stomping it out is a bit childish IMO. While the risk of myocarditis is incredibly low, I know I wouldn't want people down playing it if it happened to me.
June 11, 20214 yr there are risks in getting the vaccine. and there are risks in not getting the vaccine. there is ever changing scientific data that quantifies each of these risks & there's nothing wrong with looking at this data before making up your mind. only looking at half of the picture and only using the data that supports your politics...yeah, that's dumb.

While the risk of myocarditis is incredibly low, I know I wouldn't want people down playing it if it happened to me. Likewise, you wouldn't want someone downplaying the risks of covid if your kid was suffering long-term symptoms from it. In adults, studies peg the proportion who experience prolonged difficulties at 1 in 3 Covid patients, but there is a vanishingly small set of numbers about children. Experts told STAT they’ve all looked at one research paper from Rome that studied 129 patients from 2 to 18 years old, as well as data on about 9,000 children and adolescents from the U.K.’s health system. From that small base, they surmise a plausible range from 7% to 20%. In the U.S., nearly 4 million children and adolescents under 18 have tested positive for Covid https://www.statnews.com/2021/06/10/as-more-kids-get-long-covid-doctors-still-cant-predict-who-is-at-risk/

June 11, 20214 yr So fed up now. Our restrictions are due to be extended beyond the original lifting date of 21 June. We aren't getting out of this in the next few years.
June 11, 20214 yr How many people with adverse effects from the vaccine would have had equal or worse adverse effects from getting Covid? That’s the real question, because essentially this is an opportunity cost. No way to really know the answer to this, but I have to think someone who had issues from the vaccine would have more serious issues from Covid.
