It's not a surprise that most of the unvaccinated are in Red States.

'Two COVID nations': Delta variant threatens sections of the country where vaccination rates lag

WASHINGTON — No state has been as successful in its vaccination effort as Vermont, with 64 percent of its population fully inoculated against the coronavirus. Other Northeastern states, including Massachusetts, Maine and Connecticut, are not far behind, with rates of about 60 percent of residents who have been fully vaccinated.

By contrast, only 28.9 percent of Mississippians are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and only 31.9 percent of Alabamians (all figures come from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Florida, one of the nation’s oldest and most populous states, has vaccinated only 44 percent of its population, even as the governor there, Ron DeSantis, takes a victory lap over his handling of the pandemic.

So?

I have ran into many of doctors that have great memories and know the steps of A, B, C, but get lost when they realize you understand human anatomy and question them on things. Hell, I won't see a doctor again if they are obese or sloppy fat.

It's hard to find a good doctor, that actually knows his or her stuff beyond a book taught them.

100% true.

I think the medical profession does a decent job of diagonising illnesses but a horrible job at treating them with the Rockefeller Medicine they learned in school.

Homeopathy treatment of illnesses that were labeled quackery by Rockefeller Medicine is a much better way to go, unfortunately your medical plan won't cover that treatment.

Obviously it's a means of control

You forgot "anti-science" and "anti-brain"

They've made their choice. If they end up in the hospital it's on them.

Agreed. Being stupid and careless it certainly is on them.

Shame but the stupid will continue to stupid.

Better to die than to capitulate to the libs, amirite? I was told if living life without brain damage is so "great", then I guess we should enjoy being "great" without shaming anyone. Alternatively, why not both? Let's enjoy life sans brain damage and also enjoy the amusement of shaming the stupid. Seems like a win/win if you ask me.

I think you are digging your heals in too hard.  Honestly.  I’ve appreciated all the good info on studies and the process of making and how the vaccines work that you have posted.  Informative. Much respect.   Right now though I find that article just posted (by Toaster) pre mature. If my 26 year old doesn’t get vaccinated right now you would call him stupid?   He runs machinery most of the time, in a tractor, it’s warm out and he’s not in large crowds.  I respect his choice-for the time being.  We are still learning.   As far as the exchange with brkmsn if he has antibodies then his choice should be ok too as data is showing there’s no further benefit from a vaccine at this time.  He said he wasn’t against it as well.

just sayin. It is true we used to have discussions around here.

There's truly nothing to discuss. This is a no-brainer. Sure, respect his choice, but you still need to do everything in your power to convince him to get it asap. There's nothing premature about erring on the side of caution. And if he thinks that's what he's doing by not getting it, then he's sorely mistaken. This isn't anything to drag your feet on, especially with this delta variant.

Missed this part.

There's plenty of reasons to get vaccinated even if someone has gotten covid before, especially with delta primed to overtake alpha in a couple weeks.

The new evidence shows that protective antibodies generated in response to an mRNA vaccine will target a broader range of SARS-CoV-2 variants carrying "single letter” changes in a key portion of their spike protein compared to antibodies acquired from an infection.

These results add to evidence that people with acquired immunity may have differing levels of protection to emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants. More importantly, the data provide further documentation that those who’ve had and recovered from a COVID-19 infection still stand to benefit from getting vaccinated.

https://directorsblog.nih.gov/2021/06/22/how-immunity-generated-from-covid-19-vaccines-differs-from-an-infection/?fbclid=IwAR2zegImuxiPPlNtCXf0E52sqNU6PJN1mHJi3uVVn4EsGk12w1Vt2FLPeSs&amp

So while we don't have a ton of definitive data on how efficacious natural immunity is against it as delta is a fairly new variant, tempting fate because you don't want to "capitulate" to medical professionals only looking out for your best interest is the height of stupidity. As they say, if you really wanna test your natural immunity against these new variants, F around and find out.

I still feel like there's something to the Winnipeg lab incident that @TEW was mentioning at the beginning of the pandemic. For those who don't remember, two Chinese scientists were booted from the lab in the summer of 2019. There was also a transfer of deadly viruses including ebola from the Winnipeg lab to the Wuhan lab earlier in 2019.

Now, the supreme turd Trudeau is doing everything in his power to prevent documents surrounding the incident from being released. He's gone so far as to claim national security would be compromised and has now sued his own Speaker of the House for upholding the rules of the House. The leader of the Public Health Agency of Canada refuses to speak on the issue or hand over related documents. Something isn't right here.

The Wuhan lab's ties to the Chinese military are not comforting at all, either.

Wow...

More than 300 cases of heart inflammation after Covid-19 vaccinations have been reported in young people, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Thursday.

"The case are rare," she said. "Over 20 million adolescents and young adults [have been] vaccinated in the United States."

Most are treated with something like ibuprofen.

Quote

"The vast majority have fully resolved with rest and supportive care," Walensky said.

Indeed, "people who have had this side effect tend to have had mild or minimal symptoms that resolve within several days," said Dr. Katie Passaretti, medical director for infection prevention at Atrium Health in Charlotte.
