If you mean my comparison of Trump and his supporters to garbage is insulting to garbage, then yes, that's true. He is very much beneath garbage. I stand corrected.

These people are the worst. Literally the worst. Anyone who has laid eyes upon these manatees can vouch for that.

I think we are in the 4th or 5th round discussing cruises in this thread.   I have absolutely zero desire to ever go.

Don't know about y'all but I still can't believe some of the Trump antics.  It's going to take awhile to get rid of them.  Right after vikas posted that tweet, I recalled the don't let covid run your life bit video message.   Jesus.

Is this your way of saying you are really high right now, you trash basket?

 Not what I meant.

What was your favorite part?  The slapstick comedy or the "story" which is an all over the place mess?   Oh I know, the muppet!

Edit: The actor that plays Danny actually has a nice swing.

I take it you don’t like Bill Murray.

Caddyshack was not his best movie. He basically played a mentally challenged idiot, almost any comedic actor can pull that off.

The reason it’s a classic is because of Bill Murray. The story about playing golf with the Dalai Lama. When he’s pretending to be at the Master’s.  When Chevy Chase hits the ball into his apartment.  When the old guy gets struck by lightning and he sneaks away.  Etc.

Also, Caddyshack is a movie about class or class differences. On one hand you have the caddies hustling for a couple bucks, and on the other hand you have the super rich people who belong to the country club.

You can turn anything political can’t you? I bet you’re a real hit at parties

The reason it’s a funny movie is the interactions between rich and poor people. Just as an example the pool scene where they let the caddies go in the country club pool

His role is definitely iconic but if I’m ranking my favorites in Caddyshack it’s:

Ted Knight

Chevy

Rodney

Spalding Smails

Lacy Underall

Murray

It’s not like it’s some hidden subtext, it’s the entire point of the movie.

Overboard is also an example of the same thing, but it's also funny.

I like Bill Murray just fine.  I didn't realize Caddyshack was a Bill Murray centric movie.  I thought it was about some caddy's and a tournament or two.

Are you referring to the scene they threw in last minute because the (director? producer?) realized at the 11th hour of filming that he had two SNL alum (who happened to hate each other) had zero scenes together?  Amazing!

Again, amazing slapstick.  If I was a few chromosomes short I would cite that as a great comedic moment.

Ok, now I'm confused.  I thought you were on the side of "it's funny"

Wait... retry.  Reset

You mean how the protagonist befriended and won along side two even richer dudes?

Maybe I am a few chromosomes short, because I think this scene is funny
