What Kamala said about Trump had absolutely zero bearing on their opinion of the vaccine.

As if Trump supporters would follow Kamala's advice.

Way below 90 percent likelihood to win 6 games this year though.

I’m going to root for whichever team has the highest vaccination rate this season

New Jersey strongly recommending masks again, what a joke. And the White House going back to masks is such a horrible look now, it looks like a giant step backwards

So much for that talking point

Has nothing to do with Covid.  We just don't want to see your stupid New Jersey face.

I still don't know why people keep pointing to Israel when we have the results right here. 99.5 percent of the people dying right now aren't vaccinated. Get vaccinated.

Thanks for the link.  I think I’ll wait until I’m on a computer at the public library to read it though.

Even some comments to that post show people still trying to believe that study is accurate, people are effingn stupid is why we are doomed as a species because this virus is not deadly enough to kill off all the stupid.

How the coronavirus infects cells — and why Delta is so dangerous

Scientists are unpicking the life cycle of SARS-CoV-2 and how the virus uses tricks to evade detection.

For those who care about the science.

Yeah and the ironic thing is that we have both the anti-vaxers using that study to support their position AND at the same time people are using it as a reason to drive mask mandates.

Over 73,000 of new cases are from 8 states according to this

That Florida number is insane.

Because we aren't tracking breakthrough infections unless it lands someone in a hospital bed, while places like Israel, Singapore, and the UK are trying to track all breakthrough infections regardless of severity. Also, they're a month or two ahead of us when it comes to timelines of delta emergence and predominance, so it's only naturally to look at them as a rough indication of what may come. This is where the latest estimates of a late August peak for this current wave are coming from.

Doesn't mean we should put all our eggs in this basket, but we shouldn't completely ignore it either. Without studies from Singapore and China back in April and May, we'd have little to no concrete data on differences in delta's viral load and immunity escape ability.
