July 28, 20214 yr All numbers in Israel are very positive including the effectiveness of Pfizer against delta which the numbers say is very strong dropping only down to 80% or higher which are still very very high numbers. Singapore numbers also point to zero vaccinated patients getting serious conditions as a result of delta. So far so good. We do need more time and data as it is way to early to make any final conclusions. The early returns basically say one thing, get vaccinated. If you have an underlying condition putting you at extra risk then take the booster once it is available. I can understand a local official taking a local decision to protect larger groups of unvaccinated people. At the national level we should be pushing the vaccine and holding the course for all major policy or recommendations in as much as that is possible. Use the power of negative economic incentive (ala Vikas' suggestions) as a whip.

The mRNA platform is unique in that spinning up new vaccines that directly target a variant is much easier than with previous methods.

One of these days you will have to post pics of your lab that you do all your research in.
