So today, a cancer patient was turned away from a hospital because they had no available beds. Maybe they should turn away the unvaccinated instead.

I can't believe they would turn away Albert Einstein, of all people!

Last night our school board voted to mandate masks until cases drop to 20 per 100k for a given week as reported by the county. Lots of the trumpbot parents were pissed. One of them was shouting and interrupted the board president. They threatened to leave the district at which point me and my wife looked at each other and we were both like:

Lots of drama as parents are pulling their kids out of school to "home school" them so they don't have to wear masks.  My daughter was in tears as some of her best friends fall into this group. Apparently "Well honey your friends parents are Trumpbots and are foolish" is not comforting for a preteen girl

You showed more restraint than I think I would have, sticking to an innocuous word like ‘foolish’.
All the parents that can’t help their kids do elementary level arithmetic homework are now going to home school their kids. I’m terrified and yet somewhat fascinated to see how this ends up impacting us 15 - 20 years from now.

The irony is that its usually suburban housewives who quickly become overwhelmed with the job and end up sitting their children in front of a computer so their kids have some sort of structured curriculum, the very thing they were complaining about and trying to avoid when Covid first hit the U.S.

I loled, then I cried.

I'm not a lawyer, but it is my understanding that the referendum would not affect the Governor's broad powers over public school administration. While Wolf can no longer issue a blanket mask mandate for the state, I'm pretty sure that it's well within his authority to do so for public schools. I just don't think the political will exists at this time.

I'm sorry what?

Can I get a fact-check on aisle 6 please?

Some people never tire of spreading idiotic lies. They are worthless POS.

30 years old with 3 kids and another one on the way. He put that whole family in danger.

And the responses are golden.

that's Dr. Lee Merritt. She's a nutcase COVID denier. She is an orthopedic surgeon, not in virology.

Not surprising this is the sort of garbage showing up in your feed.

If you want specific fact checks, she's wrong about the number of deaths among service members from COVID and from the vaccine. She's just straight lying.
