Delta makes plexiglass mostly irrelevant. Higher number of aerosols (or maybe lesser number needed to be rooted as an infection) means a lot of the old guidance is obsolete. The 6ft distancing, the 15 minutes rule, even some of the implausibility of outdoor spread is all out the window now.

My wife and I are both vaccinated, but I still feel weird about going out to eat anywhere that’s crowded.  We were going to eat at this diner last week, but it looked packed, so we chickened out.

We have two kids so we're still avoiding eating indoors at restaurants. If there's a long wait for patio seating, we just walk to the next restaurant and see what the wait is there. On a couple occasions, we've just done take out and then found somewhere to sit and eat it.

I suggest you just stay at home.  You'll feel better.

Or I could just wait until the next election and then decide if I should go out to eat or not.

Yes, I suggest you do just that.  You'll be able to think more clearly (well, as clear as is possible for you).

I still get takeout also because of a kid at home that is too young to get vaccinated. We have enough options within driving distance to get it and bring it home. Also lots of food truck nearby for variety. We made an exception on vacation several weeks ago and dined inside for the first time since March 2020. But I don't think we'll do it again anytime soon with delta numbers still climbing.

The vaccine doesn't prevent you from getting COVID. It is supposed to suppress the symptoms.

I don't think anyone can accuse me of being an anti-vaxer... but I do think we may need to consider the possibility that they aren't as effective as we had hoped. As KZ alluded to, Israel is getting hammered, and it's the second most vaccinated nation on earth. The most vaccinated is Iceland, over 90%, and they're getting hammered as well. Both of these countries are "ahead" of us on the timeline as far as vaccination rates, and as such might be providing a window into our future.

It actually does prevent you from getting covid. Its not 100% effective, but its still over 90% effective.

That fool is worse than KZ don't even bother

Vaccines work, masks are theatre, mandate vaccines and make the unvaxxed outcasts. Cases are nowhere near the peak here thanks to vaccines. At the peak over 7,000 cases per day, now around 1300 and falling in the last week from a high of around 2000, virus is over for vaxxed, the unvaxxed will perish, good riddance

Hospital was "out of options?”  Clearly they didn’t try horse dewormer.

They probably didn't give him a bleach enema, either.

Maybe locking kids in their homes with Netflix and videogames for a year wasn't the answer? Just thinking out loud here.

Go outside and play until the street light comes on.  If a parent was too dumb or woke to keep them inside then they deserve to raise a POS.

I didn’t know you Brazilian.  BTW.  You’re not supposed to shove it up your arse, Thailor.

Wasn't my ass. Intra-dermal UV light maybe?

A group of people and I were talking about fiber being healthy and all that nonsense then someone said why do people assume if you don't eat fiber you are an American

I said because fiber is a very important part of a healthy diet and keeping weight off. We are the fatest fat **** country in the world put 2+2 together lol.

Then the next guy says Americans need to eat vegetables and quit it with all the cheese lol.
