I don’t like the game set up. This has let down for the 76ers written all over it with Embiid coming back.

I think it’ll be a close game. Besides the first match up which was first game of the season, the games have really been close late in the 4th quarter. I’d still take Boston but i wouldn’t be shocked if the sixers are close within the last 4 minutes. If that’s the case Boston might get tight knowing they need this game otherwise they are in a world of trouble.

Like the shot at big collar and Joshua Harris

I keep going back and forth. Part of me says sit Embiid but part of me says play him cause if we could go up 2-0 man that would be sweet. But I think Boston wins either way.

Win a championship and then say this.

Smart is doubtful.

Tbh i think brogdon runs the offense better than smart. I don’t have the analytics just the eye test from the games I’ve watched the Celtics. They’ll miss smart’s defense though.

White has been a way better defender this season and analytics agree.

I mentioned the other week that Mazz is a crap coach and could cost them a game or two. Think he already did game one and crazy to say that Doc might work him the rest of the series.

I knew white was having a really good year and defensively he had been good. Frankly they likely are better off with white and brogdon imo.

tend to agree on mazz. He’s winning cause that team is stacked with talent but they are getting  less out of the talent then last year. They’ve been playing worse as the season has continued. Still good cause they have talent but not near the level they were last year after the all star break. I also agree doc might actually out coach him this series. Which in the ECF if the sixers advance likely isn’t the case

that said, I thought game one might’ve been one of doc’s best coach games as sixers’ head coach. His usage of timeouts was good. And he made on the flight adjustments defensively that we haven’t really seen him make all that much in his career in Philly.

Embiid is going to play tonight.

You Dont Say GIF

Part of me thinks Embiid playing is mind games today and they end up sitting him.

It’ll never happen but harden sitting tonight might actually benefit them long term in this series. I know this is gonna be a long series.  the first four games being every other day likely leads to him declining in performance every game as it continues. His 45 points was partially him having 10 days off in between games. I’m curious to see how he looks like game 3 and 4. I think winning game 1 was vital because it might be the best game you get from harden thanks to the layoff

Schedule makes zero sense and we had issues with guys wearing out last year in a general sense. No idea why the NBA isn't putting in more rest days. This would be the #1 reason to shorten a season

With the amount of injuries this postseason they should shorten the season and just spread out playoff games so you get guys more rested and likely better performances. I think draymond had a podcast where he explained why the nba does what they do with playoff scheduling. It’s BS.  no reason game 2 and 3 are a day apart. Can understand game 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 but the rest is just horrible scheduling

I could be wrong, I hope I am, but it feels like the Sixers getting blown out tonight wouldn't be that surprising.  They're going to need Maxey to shoot a better percentage.

well, boston is in a must win situation...so i expect them to pull out all the stops. if i were them, i'd double harden to get the ball out of his hands..and i'd run pick & rolls to get embiid switched onto guards/wings since he has a gimpy knee.

He hasn’t played a game in 2 weeks and has barely done any lateral movements. I would keep him out for another game at least.

I say you play him, you don't want it getting to a game 7 and you lose. You will be wondering if it would of gotten to that point if you played embiid game 2

LCL is all rotational movement, how hard has he tested this out? You already stole one from the Celtics and got home court back in your advantage.

Yup. You already got the split. They are going for the dagger with this but if it backfires and he gets worse, it could lose us the series.

fo-fo-fo-fo!

Sounds like he will play. Hopefully he was practicing at full speed behind closed doors because if this is the first time he tests out his knee after being off for 2 weeks, we are playing with fire.
