back to being Tragic Johnson

Well, Ben blames altitude, and Doc complains about the schedule. And, Im not seeing the accountability that was lacking under Brett Brown. Just a bunch of whiners who have excuses for lack of effort.

Like I said I do not like Doc... There is a reason he got fired from a loaded Clippers team, mostly to do with the team hating the lack of accountability and special treatment towards star players like Paul George.

I still think he is better than BB, and didn’t really see a better option last offseason.

Definitely better. Although tyron lue was available and many didn't think he was any good and only won because of LeBron... Well they basically fired Doc to promote Lue so maybe was better. We will see this season I suppose

I thought Kenny Atkinson was the best available candidate. That Nets team had Russell and took the Sixers to five games the other year, that team played hard and seemed to enjoy playing together.

Just read since the All Star break Ben is shooting 48% within 8 feet of the rim. Pathetic numbers.

He is an anchor and sadly I think they missed their chance to dump him for something good. Teams aren't going to give good value after he flops in the playoffs again.

Kyrie beat the Knicks without Harden or KD playing to slide into #1.

There is no way for it to happen but I would kill to have Beal instead of Simmons.  But now, Washington would need Simmons and like 8 first rounders.

Aaron Gordon would have never worked in Philly but crap he might be the missing link for Nuggets. His touches went from 63 to 33 a game but ppg is the same and FG% went from 43% to 64%.

I think we should explore a trade with denver. Not for Aaron gordon but they have some other disgruntled players who have underachieved. There is alot of in fighting on Denver.

Who Willie Barton? He will be 31 by next year. No one else moves the needle.

Porter isn't going anywhere. He is getting 20ppg right now.

Helps when you have someone like Jokic getting you the ball where you can score more efficiently.

ben mclemore to the lakers...another klutch client.

Fournier and Tristan Thompson out against the Sixers because of Covid Protocols

Still no timetable on George Hill, Doc Rivers says, though he’s on the trip with the team. Also adds, "I can’t see it being anytime soon”

@4for4EaglesNest Good call

I ran across about stat his defense over the last 3 years. Giving up the 12th lowest field goal percentage in the league and he was asked to guard 1-5. Hes a great fit for the nuggets. And he’s happy there on top of it. Helps he has murray and jokic and now porter. He doesn’t have to be the guy. Also gives them someone to try and make Lebron and players like that work for it.

So stupid not to take him at 10 a couple years back. If he didn’t have the back issue he’s a top 2 pick. Being at 10 it was worth the risk especially if you were star hunting. He had star potential in him

Heard a theory the sixers drafted Zaire because they thought they were going to trade for Kawhi and he was a piece they wanted.

They had no problems drafting all those other guys with injury problems and now all of a sudden they do with a 10th pick?? I'm not buying it, probably said that because they knew they blew the pick.

Possible. Wasn’t my theory/rumor. Was told that by a friend who works with the Suns G league team about why they think the sixers made the trade they did. It would make sense some sense if the Spurs liked him and the sixers got a future first as well to include. I still think the sixers just thought he was an elite athlete and they could make him into what they saw in thybulle but potentially more offensive upside as he was only 19.

The sixers whole draft philosophy the last 30 years has been draft a guy already injured, mentally weak or can't shoot for sheet and hope one of those 3 things or all of them stop being an issue to reach their potential. Lol

It was beyond ridiculous when he got there at 10. The kid if he left straight out of high school was going top 3. He was that good. Totally take the chance at 10 with that type of upside. It wouldn’t be as bad if they had bridges. At least he would’ve been a good role player

Exactly, I mean for christ sakes they put the whole process on Joel becoming what he did with feet and back problems! Now all of a sudden they don't want to take that risk at 10? It's those kinds of decisions that prevent you from winning championships. It's eerily similar to Howie who changes what he is looking for in a coach and a player every freaking year

If they had porter jr right now the sixers likely have another asset for a trade but really you could move green to the bench and your depth and lineup is much better. Plus the size the sixers would have on their starting lineup would be ridiculous.

Gotta be concerned that the Sixers haven’t seemingly built a nice lead with all the Boston turnovers.
