You think TJ Warren, guy that played 4 games  this year and a big, Turner, that shot 33% from 3 this year is good value for Ben. Not to mention fit for the team.

He has more value and the further we get away from Sunday the more value he will have.

Morey paid 10 million to make this team better, not worse or the same.

Yeah i don’t get the turner fit with embiid. That feels very al horford-Esque type of pairing where turner doesn’t shoot well enough from the outside to give you proper spacing. Turner is clearly better than horford at this point of his career i just hate the pairing of embiid and turner together. I don’t think it works for the same reason it was never going to work with horford. He’s not close to a good enough perimeter shooter to make it work.

Also don’t love the defensive matchups where turner or embiid has to guard stretch fours or small ball centers on the perimeter. I don’t think turner or embiid is ideal for consistently guarding out on the perimeter

I still think if a trade happens a team like Cavs and Spurs are teams to watch.

That 3rd pick isn't a good match because they have two guards and if Mobley is gone then neither Green/Suggs fit the Cavs.

Not to mention I don't want McCollum or curry running the offense.  Sure there's shooting but no defense or great half court offense initiator

Still think garland, love and the first for Simmons makes sense. Love is needed to match contracts and is a bad contract you are taking back. Simmons is still 24 and I’m guessing Cleveland believes they can get him to unlock and potentially a star. I’d be pretty happy with that return. You don’t even have to use the pick could use Harris and 3 to package to get another star here since Harris’ contract likely matches and 3 is a nice asset for a team.

He is good at one thing, is now breaking down, massive contract, and liability in everything else.

Warren is very good.

Not sure how much more value Ben really has.  Thats 2 really solid players for 1.

I think you can also make salary work with Warren and Brogdon but that seems like a lot to ask for.

I think we would all really be annoyed by McCollum very quickly. Not sure how much most of the guys in here have really watched those later night Portland games. He takes a TON of horrible shots every game.

Im willing to accept the bad with the good at this point because I am desperate for some scoring from the guard positions. And a McCollum for Harris swap seems fair.

But dont get me wrong, McCollum is not a must have for me.

You mean Bubble Warren is really good and playing what 12 games isn't enough. A career 15.5ppg guy isn't enough.

Derek bodner with the line of the night on his podcast, "Tobias Harris has moments in games where he turns into Robert Covington and can’t make Fing layups”

trae was unreal last night...booker has been lights out in the playoffs as well. the modern nba is all about guards who can create & shoot.

trade simmons...trade harris...hell, trade embiid!  load up on guards & wings. that's what wins these days.

Yep.

And I said a year or 2 ago that mid-range would make a come back.  It's getting some more attention this year how the tabs that are excelling have some great mid-range players.

Harris was great in the midrange pretty much all year. Again, I think Harris and Embiid would fair better if they had a 5th person with them on offense.

Is this recent support Ben PR more about building up his value or trying to get Philly fans to accept that he might be back next year?  Because I am out.  There isn't enough videos and fluff from former teammates in the world that can change my mind.  I don't care what Ben says.  I don't care what Glenn says.  I don't care what Morey says.  He jumped the shark.  He was on thin ice and was being killed even before he QUIT and passed up an open dunk because he's a coward.  Now it's past the point of no return.  Someone needs to clue Rivers, Morey and all of these other guys that are new to Philly, in on what we will or won't put up with.  And when you've been labeled a quitter and coward in Philly.  That's a wrap!  Just don't insult us with trying to sell us on the BS!

supporting him publicly is the right move either way.

i'm all out on ben as well...but you can't trash the guy you're trying to trade.

Shot creators and Sixers have one in Curry.

Go get that 3rd pick and draft Green

Bucks Coach Bud is also an idiot where he played drop coverage on Trae and he ate them alive. An absolute horrible coach

No ish.  But you also don't want to have your head coach feed us complete BS all season long and then tell us he knows what to do to fix him.  When he had the chance to do that all year.  How about just STFU!  His trade value will never be lower than it is now.  They f-ed up by keeping him around to get to another playoff spotlight.  They were blessed that he was hurt last year.  They had a chance to move the freak.  Now they are F-ed and will have to take pennies on the dollar.  It's more about Glenn than anything.  His preaching to us about "celebrate him" just looks dumber and dumber everyday.

Problem is Harris is getting paid 30 million and he is a 3rd option on a championship team at best

you sound angry.

anyway, doc & jo were critical of ben during their postgame pressers...so i imagine all the positivity coming out now is damage control to help rebuild ben's value/rep.  i've been on the trade ben bandwagon for a couple years now. they're wasting embiid's prime waiting for him to learn how to shoot...which won't ever happen.

there's no real news so here are 5 embiid trade scenarios proposed by some moron internet nba writer who wears his hat sideways.

Sure thing fella.  Good talk

Discussions on Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons' future with the franchise started in Chicago this week and included Simmons' agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, and Sixers management, sources told ESPN.

Paul met with president of basketball operations Daryl Morey and general manager Elton Brand at the pre-draft combine to begin evaluating the next steps in Simmons' Sixers career, sources said.

Paul engaged the Sixers on whether it makes sense to work together to find a trade before the start of next season, but no request was made and the sides are expected to continue talking ahead of the July 29 NBA draft and August free agency, sources said. The 76ers are committed to keeping Simmons as a central piece of their franchise, sources said

Sixers remain committed to working through Simmons' shooting issues this summer, especially free throws. Doc Rivers and Simmons met to discuss plans for moving forward together, per sources. https://t.co/l0BBDk5RWS
