Not really necessarily true.

They are bench guys for a reason and not starters.

Yeah.  That's assuming there are 2 categories of players.  Starters and bench.  A very oversimplified view of the vast hierarchy of talent in the league.

Some bench players are better than others.

Too top heavy,  you end up with sucky bench players.  More smartly balanced, you end up with more talented bench players,  who can fill in the gap better.

There's no question we have had a very poor bench for years.  And not all teams do.

Derelict Daryl is going to offer Harris for Lillard ish he?

Spike Eskin on RTRS pod "There has been a lot of behind the scenes chatter about a three team trade once Lillard gets back.”

Spike says he’s not sure if anyone has said this publicly but there’s been a lot of noise about a trade that would send Ben to Golden State, Dame to Philly and everybody’s stuff to the Trail Blazers…

Only problem is, what do the Warriors do with Draymond? He and Ben are redundant.

Literally my first thought...add in the filler but I think the Blazers would have to eat it unless they want Harris and Draymond comes to the Sixers which I don't like.

I say,  I'm not worried about the Warriors problems.  If they're dumb enough to have both,  let them. They probably think draymond is draymond and Ben is a PG. Good.

If this were to go down, what are the chances of us keeping thybulle?

Find a fourth team for Green that can use him. Would be crazy for Blazers to take that money back.

I think we could lose Maxey which I am fine with if we are getting Dame.

He is definitely gone, probably the best asset we send in that trade.  We will send at least 3 1st's but I am hoping somehow we can keep thybulle.  They might ask for him too though.

If there are legs to this rumor, we should see Maxey sitting out this week instead of playing in the summer league games, right?

We shouldn't have to give up as much if Warriors assets are also going to portland.

You think Shake, Springer and 3 1'st gets it done?  That would be amazing but I doubt it.

Give up Thybulle.  Not Maxey

I like Maxey better but if we are losing Ben and adding Dame, we need defense.  Thybulle stays over Maxey.

TFWIW same coach who told me that the warriors wouldn’t mind trading draymond a couple months ago and in the loop on markkanen said they took kuminga cause they liked him but really saw him as the highest upside prospect available at 7 to make a trade with. They loved moody and Duarte at 14. Duarte went off the board took moody. Would prefer to keep him going forward. The coach thinks moody can be a jaylen brown light if developed properly.

Definitely light because Brown is classes above Moody in athleticism. A simple comparison is Mikal Bridges. But if Sixers can sneak in Moody with Lillard that would be a really sneaky underrated move.

Really?  Is that what you meant?  I thought maybe the olympics.  Which is equally as boring and desperate.  Have fun.

I think his belief is cause moody is 19 he still is going to fill out his body more than bridges who was 22 entering the league. Brown came out at 220ish. Mood around 205. He believes he can get to that given time. Also believes his ceiling as a two way player is right below brown. Brown struggled as a 3 point shooter coming out. Moody is much better although did struggle in the tourney with it. However brown was physically more mature and a better defender at their stages of their rookie seasons.

i tend to agree though if they got him it would be a sneaky move. I like the kid a lot. I’d be surprised if he stayed on the warriors he didn’t become a very good player.

Summer league is where you learn about the young guys.  Your bff Maxey will be playing and probably dominating.  It is actually entertaining to watch.

If we can get a young prospect, or pick back Im ok with Maxey going. But Im not happy about trading him and only getting an over 30 small guard back.

Multiple sources tell The Sacramento Bee the Kings have shown interest in both Ben Simmons and Pascal Siakam, the two most prominent names linked to Sacramento since the trade and free agency frenzy began. Some remain skeptical the Kings can pull off that kind of deal, but McNair wants to make an impact move as pressure to win begins to build within the organization 11 months after he was hired, sources said.

Talks could pick up this week with all 30 teams convening in Las Vegas, where the Kings will play the Charlotte Hornets in their summer league opener at 3 p.m. Monday at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center. Outside the organization, there is a perception that Sacramento’s new front office is already "feeling the heat” from Kings owner Vivek Ranadive.

A source with knowledge of the situation in Toronto said the Raptors are receiving numerous calls about Siakam and team president Masai Ujiri is "listening like a good negotiator.” The Kings, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are said to be particularly "enamored” with Siakam. A trade is possible, but not likely, the source said, adding Siakam has no desire to be moved despite the possibility of a rebuilding situation in Toronto.
