I hate Tucker taking up a 2 way spot. He should just be on the And 1 tour. Incredible athleticism. Would be a beast in that game. But he has absolutely no business even on an NBA developmental team.

He seems to hit them near the end of games. Like Jimmy Butler did when he was here.

But I have to point out how I was banging the table for Cooper in this draft. We picked Springer instead and Cooper fell all the way to 48.

He had 9 assists in the first game. 11 here so far. And scores like he does.... what were teams thinking letting him go to 48? What were we thinking?

Cooper looks extremely grumpy that hes about to lose a summer league game. Gotta love that. I bet hes a beast in RPS. 

 

lol. some ATL player was trying to foul and the refs just werent giving it to him. They wanted this game over. 

A solid night in meaningless philly sports. Eagles starters far outclassed Pittsburgh while they were playing their 2nd game and had a chance to tune up a bit already. And then Maxey dominates. Joe looked pretty good again. 6ers win.

maxey had a nice 2nd half after having an inefficient 1st half...really struggled from three though...1 for 8. 

joe is a chucker...13 of his 15 shot attempts were threes.  made 5 of them though. 

paul reed is a complete spaz but has a ridiculous motor...just never stops hustling. that works in summer league & the g-league...but he'd probably foul out in 10 minutes in an nba game. 

springer doesn't look very athletic and isn't a particularly good shooter. idk how high of a ceiling he has. i see him as an evan turner type. solid build & fundamentally sound..but not much more than that. of course, the kid is only 18 so he has a lot of time to improve.

the rest of the team stinks.

I'm liking what I see. He is just active and makes things happen. If it was a crucial offensive board, a steal, or that dunk. I think he could be a valuable high energy guy off the bench in spot minutes. He feels like he can contribute what Howard did last year with a better offensive output. It will be nice to see him against some real NBA bodies.

Myles Leonard is still a FA. Sure he makes some anti Jew comments but he would be a good back up 4/5

It seems like maybe they purposely drafted a Thybulle replacement just in case he gets shipped out with Ben.

A reach for sure but that's how I can rationalize the pick in my head. 

Like,  Springer playing on an NBA court right now is probably immediately a + on ball perimeter defender.  The problem offensively there are skills he lacks abs others that flash but aren't NBA ready yet. Playing him,  you'd have to stick him in a corner on offense like thybulle abs just hope he can hit an open 3 now and then.  You can't play him at PG. But, without Thybulle you probably could put him out there for defense. 

He probably comps well to Dort as a rookie.

 

 

If that wasn't their rationale,  I'm at a loss. Cause you watch Sharife Cooper last night and... wow.  It's night and day.
