Confirmed:  @4for4EaglesNest went to Vegas to watch this game live.  After making fun of us, he realized he was the one missing out.

Petrusev was hacked on that!

I was too busying trying to knock some sense into that turd and let the game play for 5 minutes without watching.  I am starting over now and ignoring him.

I guess Edwards is just going to light us up all day in this one.

I Joe running point.  He has better handles than I thought.  He has missed all his 3's but they will come.

This game kinda sucks.

I thought maybe we would see more Henry from Michigan State. Maybe more Springer handling the ball, and maybe more scoring opportunities for Petrusev.

Got none of that.

What a block!

I guess these are celtics announcers. Its halftime and the dude actually just said Boston looks well on its way to earning its 4th summer league victory.

I wonder if he knows about the 6ers trailing all game long on Thursday night, and by as much as 13, and then winning.

I never saw an NBA game decided at halftime.

Very nice to hear how Isaiah Joe would always stay after practices to get in an additional 1500-2000 shots, and even called Doc to get in the gym on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Man. Springer just doesnt look athletic, or like he has a 41'' verticle. That steal fastbreak was painfully slow and the dunk attempt was lacking any explosion at all.

He has a bad vertical.  Paul Reed might be closer to bust than a future bench piece.

Reed's shot is so incredibly ugly, and also ineffective. Hes just never going to be anything. Theres not room in the NBA today for a player like him. If it was 10 years ago, sure he would be a beloved energy guy like a Varejao or Reggie Evans. But not today. Hes nothing, and never gonna be.

But Im really doubting Springer has NBA requisite athleticism too. He looked unathletic at Tennessee. But had a really good workout with a great vert and it was said he played through an ankle injury. But it just doesnt look any better.

The only thing he has on his side is age. Let's see how he looks next year.

Yeah. He looks like he will need a few years to sharpen his offensive skills. Hes going to need to get amazing at a few things to counter his lack of athleticism.

Not sure reed can be considered a bust. He was pick 58. That’s damn near undrafted.

Springer does have a somewhat soft touch on his shots.  Maybe he can build on that.

Good point.  Wrong choice of words.

thats true. But he ended up building a lot of hype from G league accolades.

If either joe or reed pan out that’s a win for the sixers. At picks 49 and 58 the odds are small they become just a solid rotational guy. I’d be thrilled if either became that. I think joe has a better chance cause he can shoot. MBA is full of shooters. If he becomes average as a defender someone will give him a nice second contract.

f'n boston with 3rd year players on their summer league team.

Tends to happen from g league and summer league. Everyone went crazy with Carsen edwards in the summer league. Hasnt done crap in the nba

i kind of agree with Keith smith (national writer now works at spotrac) when he talked to a FO guy. The FO executive told him the summer league won’t definitively show you who can play in the nba but it will definitively show you who can’t play in the nba.

I kind of wish we didnt re-sign Furk. Hes in the leaugue for a bunch of years now and is still a poor defender and just a streaky shooter.

We can get that same level of streakiness from Joe with far more upside, but not its going to be near impossible for him to get NBA minutes yet again.

That is slightly irksome to me.

What chaps me even more though is giving away both of our 2 way contracts to useless players already.

Rayjon Tucker has no shot at ever playing in the NBA. And Bassey is going to take a loooong time to be NBA ready.  Why are we ever going to pull up Bassey in the regular season? That be idiotic. Its a waste of that contract.

Reed should still be on a 2 way. Hes not ready yet, but has some experience in case of an absolute emergency. And Petrusev should be the other. He can immediately provide floor stretching, soft touch around the rim. Great pick and roll player. And is providing surprising defense in SL which was totally unexpected.

so many sixers fans queefed when they traded carsen edwards to boston...doode is still in summer league.

Joe's handles and passing seem to have gotten better.  If he can keep increasing his 3 point percentage over the next 2 year, he has a chance.

This would have been a nice game with Maxey and Pritchard playing.

Without Maxey, I honestly probably wont watch the last game.
