Would that be considered a non-basketball injury?  Would he not get paid either way?  These questions and more on the next episode "I've Sprained My Vag!"

If he’s on the bench at the stadium he’s going to get an ear full. And he’s going to hear about it everyday until he is gone. So play or not it’s likely a living hell in terms of his current situation (outside of getting his money) for him being in the city and on that sideline

Didn’t he just sell his house?

He's going to crash on Korkmaz's couch.

Ben's issues are nothing new, they were evident before last season even started, so the one thing that the FO did wrong was they should have traded him early last season, when his stock was much higher.  I'm sure Doc had a lot to do with them not trading him, but they should have.

Or just not have signed him to.that contract at all since he still at that point had not proved that he was getting any better.

So the Sixers and Simmons are talking about his return. Ben can't stand to lose the money, I guess. Maybe he can prove to the league he can make a foul shot and maybe take a 3 per game up to the trade deadline and the Sixers can get a fair deal done.

Ben Simmons return depends on Rich Paul and Sixers talks, source says (inquirer.com)

well, yeah....they're trying to figure out a way for him to get paid while not playing.

f ben.

F. That. If he doesn't play, he doesn't get paid. Why would the Sixers allow him to return, if the doesn't play. Makes zero sense.

Back in the butt mud for him.

The dog must have watched Ben's playoff performance

He will come back and need "to get in game shape" then get a mysterious back injury or something and get paid for sitting out. If I'm the 76ers I'm not going for that.

Only way he can even begin to save face is to fire Paul and have a press conference where he humbly accepts responsibility for everything and promises to work on the flaws in his game and then goes out and actually does it.

It's not going to happen, but it's literally the only way to salvage things.

That's what I was thinking.  A total mea culpa to the organization and fans.  Something along the Jimmy Swaggart "I have sinned" confession.

I still can't believe that this is even a possibility.  This would've been like Scott Rolen returning to the Phillies.  If this happens it will be one of the wildest stories in the history of Philly sports and even the NBA as a whole.

Off topic but is it weird that I never really understood the Rolen hate.  At the time he left, I agreed with all the things he said about the franchise.  They made a point of spending after he left but they were really asking him to sign long term and trust them that they would start doing that after years of being one of the worst and cheapest franchises in baseball.  I could totally see why someone would have been hesitant to tie their career to the franchise back then.

Didn’t he rip the fans on his way out when he called St. Louis "baseball heaven”?

Gotta love the Sixers beating up on the Nets in the First Quarter. Korkmaz stealing the ball from Harden was a thing of beauty. Embiid is a powerful man. Who can shoot the 3.

Maybe I forgot some of that.  Getting old sucks.

But really, the vet, especially back then, was an awful place to play and watch baseball.  Awful stadium that was empty most of the time.  A farm system that makes our current one look elite and some of the most pathetic free agent signings ever. Or maybe I'm just scarred by a team that gave me Rickey Jordan as the best player to come up through their farm system for me to get excited about in my high school years.

Joe seems like he made some nice improvement in his ball handling in the off season.  If his shooting and D are somewhat consistent, he should get more time in the rotation this year.

Love Isaiah Joe getting the start with no Milton or Maxey in the lineup. Not that I think hes a viable PG option, but he has worked on his ball handling and playmaking. It was a glaring positive addition to his game in summer league. So its nice to showcase it more against real players on the Nets.

I really think he is better than Kork right now and belongs getting all those minutes. I hate that we extended Kork. The arent going to play Joe over him. But they should.
