i wanted ben gone a few years ago.

they did coddle him under brett....and again last season...right up until he basically took a sheet during the game 7 loss.  then he gets called out...probably for the first time in his life...and this is his reaction.

Yeah, dude is so entitled and soft. He has this pervasive need to be seen as flawless, which is troubling. Forget the court (and the fear of shooting), just look at how he presents himself to the media... I have no clue who the guy really is. He has a cold and impenetrable personality projecting only the parts of himself that he wants you to see. The truly great ones acknowledge their flaws and embrace mistakes, because that is how you learn.

And the most bizarre thing is that he doesnt seem to comprehend that people (especially fans in philly) love authenticity. We have given him all of the encouragement and patience to be himself, to grow in his game, and to connect with us, but he just ignores all of that.

There are not many other players in the NBA who get the home crowd rocking every time they take at 3 (regardless of whether it is made or not). We want to see the effort, we want the imperfection and personality... and thats why we want him out.

clark filled in the dots.

[Clark] "At this point, I don’t care about that man. He does what he wants” -Joel Embiid on Ben Simmons

hot take, man. i put about 90% of this on ben...not the front office. he's the one acting like a f'n baby.

Im not sure this was unexpected by the organization. I think it was good faith by them to allow him to come back with his tail tucked. And if he wants to act like this thinking its good enough to get paid, then they can counter that action by suspending him and hopefully continue to keep his game checks. Now he is back in Philly and still hopefully not getting paid. That would be hilarious.

[Shams Charania] Doc Rivers asked Ben Simmons to join a defensive drill today. Simmons refused. Rivers asked again. Simmons said no again. Rivers then told Simmons he should go home, and Simmons dropped the ball and left.

I dont know if CBA of NBAPA controls how long this type of suspension can be. But if it were up to the team, from the sounds of what happened today, this should be indefinite.

The team negotiated his return. What even is there to negotiate? He has a contract he needs to be here playing. So just for the simple fact that they "negotiated" a return when he started losing big bucks tells you that they have given many concessions to him to try to at least be cordial, if not make him happy. And he is not reciprocating. He is not cooperating. It ought to be more than 1 game if the team has any say in that.

Didnt even take the ball with him... almost, but not quite (that should be his mantra)

[Clark] I’m told the team and the players are very together and the chemistry is good and Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris have been great leaders through this

If his trade value is 0 or close to it, which it probably is by now, let him sit this entire season until he is ready to meet half way and get his value up.  If he doesn't, just sit him the rest of his contract.  Now it is personal.

what an immature a hole

I wonder if all the Ben news is going to sore Bitcoin to ATH?

i heard the audio and honestly couldn't tell if jojo was saying "i don't care about that man" or "i don't care about that, man".  subtle difference but i couldn't tell. jojo isn't the easiest dude to understand sometimes.

Just damn

You knew this was coming. Good for the big man. He’s had enough.

Embiid is +800 and put 50 on him. Dude is going to go crazy this year.

Ship him to anyone that wants him for a set of towels

[Charania] More on the 6ers practice : sources say coach Doc Rivers was repeatedly asking Simmons to shoot when open, at one point throwing a basketball at him, which Simmons avoided by ducking.

:roll::roll:

edit: i think this is fake...but still really, really funny so i'll leave it here.

LOL.  This is awesome.

All he had to do was show up, "try", and bet Morey and Sixers would have shipped him out. Now he has created this mess and no doubt Morey will purposely drag this out because his ego is just as big.

Rich Paul and Simmons could have gotten away with this at any other team, but I really believe they Fed with the wrong team.
