klay thompson averages 2.3 apg for his career & his best season was 2.9.

Doc just complimented Kork on the fact that when you draw something up for him,  he shoots it.

That's not always a great thing.  But he said it as a compliment. Whereas,  I bet he feels Maxey, and Seth are a little too passive.

Things were going too smoothly so makes sense covid will ruin the season

Nah, we'll be fine.  Remember last year's debacle?  It got so bad that we had a game or two that shouldn't even have been played because we were so short handed.  I think Maxey went off in one of those games though.  Seth was hit so hard by covid that even when he came back he said that he didn't feel right basically until the playoffs.  Of course, that was with no vax.  Tobi tested positive but he is vaxed and is reportedly already saying that he feels fine now but he has to sit the remainder of the protocol.  The thing with the vax is that it appears to be allowing healthy folks who test positive to bounce back much quicker than some non vaxed folks who test positive.

As for Joel, as someone mentioned, this could be a blessing in disguise.  He appears to have reached a level of maturity that we don't have to worry about him ballooning up by missing a week and a half.

If we can go .500 until Embiid gets back I'll be fine with that.

I said what I said. Yeah teams that win in the playoffs generally have a wing that can score, but that guy also needs to average more than 2.5 assists. Browns best year for assists was 3.4. Other than that he’s basically been a 1.5-2.5 APG guy.

To average fewer than three per game shows a guy who doesn’t keep the ball moving. Go ahead and look at all these "bucket getter” wings that have won championships recently. Doubt you can find one that doesn’t put up decent assist numbers.

KD averaged 4.4 assists during the playoffs last year and Giannis topped out at 5.1. The two best players in the world. That is one or two more passes than Brown last year.

Final two minutes of a close playoff basketball isn't really a team game where you get everyone involved. It is my best guy vs your best guy.

you guys are worried about wins and losses in November? why?

Literally nothing matters at all other than getting Embiid to the playoffs healthy and getting past the 2nd round, as far as I'm concerned.

Wake me up when the regular season ends. Also, don't give a crap about home court. Saw how much that helped last season.

Please please let me witness Ben return to Philly walking onto the court in Celtics green.

I don't give a f if he walks in with a NY Liberty uniform, he is going to get destroyed no matter what.  So much so, I've already said, I don't think he has the balls to step on the court in Philly in another uniform, it will totally be a "rest" day.  Any time he would touch the ball, the crowd would be yelling shoot, any time he stepped to the line the crowd would be chanting...."BRICK...BRICK..BRICK...BRICK...BRICK......"

He’ll get applause, right?

If he plays in Boston he will have no choice but to suit up in Philly at some point.

I went to the TO game. He didn’t get any 😊

Danny Green in the starting lineup tonight

If we win tonight, Doc Rivers deserves Coach of the Year 🤣

🤣🤣🤣

He's been covering the Celtics for the Boston Herald for the past 33 years....

This is like a home game for the knicks... disappointing crowd

What a crazy defensive number so far for Drummond and Niang for offense.

Win or Lose, this was a gutsy performance tonight

Too shorthanded

We played a summer league game in November

Great effort.  We only had 8 warm bodies and 6 of them scored double digits; Danny Green was not amongst those 6 <_<

25 boards for Drummond.  Good grief.

5 assists and zero turnovers for Maxey along with his 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Our roster is good.  They like each other and they play hard.  We just need health and a solid trade for Ben and we're good to go.

Just got home.  Fun game.  Looked like it was gonna be ugly for a while,  and they fought back and made it close all 2nd half.

If they just had a half decent shooting night...

Or, if we had someone to show Randle down a bit... I wonder if we should have started Paul Reed instead of Green in this one. Green on Randle... just wasn't gonna work.

At this point, it seems Green trying to cover a Rock won't work unfortunately.....still, valiant effort so short handed.  I fear with Milwaukee, Toronto and the west coast swing...it's going to get bad before it gets better.  They are just too shorthanded without Embid, Tobias, Isiah and Simmons.  I mean out of those seven, at this point, if we could win three, that may be an incredible thing.

Well I imagine Harris should be back soon at least.

"Sixers staffers have been encouraged by the early returns of Tyrese Maxey as a starting guard, and the 21-year-old would seem to be untouchable in any Simmons trade conversation that didn’t bring back an All-NBA guard such as Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal.“
