"Sixers staffers have been encouraged by the early returns of Tyrese Maxey as a starting guard, and the 21-year-old would seem to be untouchable in any Simmons trade conversation that didn’t bring back an All-NBA guard such as Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal.“

Hard not to think that with his play, but then go get less for Ben and fill in needs for the team.

I’ve maintained for awhile now that the more important return in a Simmons trade would be a wing. Maxey may not be a traditional lead guard, but he does give you far better production in that spot than you’re getting from Green.

Upgrade that position and push Green to the bench, while Maxey continues to start at the point. You can see his game improving all the time, and his assist numbers are starting to climb. Averaging 4.7 on the season, but those numbers have been going up. He was averaging 3.5 assists for the first 6 games, but he’s averaged 6.2 over the past 5 games.

Another encouraging sign is the improvement on his three point shot thus far. He still isn’t exactly an elite shooter by any means, but he’s up to 36.7% on the 3 this season compared to 30.1% last year.

what they need in return for simmons is a guy who can create his own shot.  when you need a big bucket at crunch time in the playoffs, you need that guy you can give the ball to & just get the eff out of the way while he beats his man & scores. all these dribble hand-offs and running around screens work well in the regular season...but you need an iso scorer in the playoffs when teams tighten up on D. i don't care if the guy is a pg or a wing...that's the type of player they need in a simmons trade.

That’s true but the issue is even if you add that guy at PG you still have a huge deficiency with Green. He absolutely, 100% should NOT be starting.

i suppose. he doesn't really bother me that much though...only plays about 1/2 the game & makes some plays defensively. of course he's not the guy you give the ball to at crunch time...and most likely isn't even on the court when you need a big bucket. him starting isn't a big deal, imo.

Pacers stink and Levert is finally healthy. Could be someone to look at or Pelicans who absolutely suck with Ingram.

This is why I have said for a long time, want nothing to do with DLo. Lazy and makes dumb decisions in clutch minutes.

I don’t think you get Ingram for Simmons, but it would be a perfect fit. It would also be pretty fitting for the Simmons era in Philly to end by trading him for the guy that they should have taken in the first place.

Straight up, of course not, but Sixers are one of the few contenders that have all their picks and Kork, Thybulle are attractive pieces on cheap deals.

Pelicans GM, Griffin, has also made some mind boggling dumb decisions these last few years as well.

Hate to give up either of those guys but I think I’d opt to keep Thybulle of the two in an Ingram deal. Ingram can replace the shooting Kork gives you, but there aren’t many who can replace Thybulle’s defense.

The shooting is more important. Give up thubulle

[Neubeck] Seth Curry is questionable for tonight’s game with a left foot contusion

Jesus. Gonna be playing a game of 4 on 5 by game time.

If Curry doesn’t play and they somehow go out there and beat the Bucks with this skeleton crew, then I’m calling championship. Because that’s just insane. Gonna be rolling out there with a starting lineup of what, Maxey-Kork-Shake-Green-Drummond?

Morey called to see if I was available to suit up for tonight's game, but I just let it go to voicemail.

Always a bad move reading into things when something like that happens.

I’m not seriously guaranteeing a championship if they pull it off tonight.

I dont know if true, but this is not the first time I have seen this rumor.

It goes along with the previous rumors where any interested team was turned away by ridiculous trade demands from Morey.

May be an image of 2 people and text that says 'CENTRAL NBA Central @TheNBACenfral Dary Morey Morey asked for Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams. and a protected first round pick to the Celtics in exchange or Ben Simmons and Danny Green. The Celtics hung up without saying any words" (Via @ShamsCharania) 76'

This is what a Simmons offense would look like if they traded Joel. A ton of ball movement and cutting.

Maxey is killing it. Kid seems to get better every game.

Someone wanna tell TNT his name is Paul Reed, not Patrick.

For some reason playing at a 100% is a skill in the league, but Maxey has plays full gas peddle all the time.

kork is garbage tonight.

B Ball Paul is making Giannis work

He's taking bad shots. For as good of a shooter as he can be at times, he shifts into brain neutral quite a bit.

jrue took 4 steps on that move...lol. no call.
