Part of me, the emotional side says dump Simmons for whatever you can get.......the business/logical side says stay patient.......see what happens in Portland and the rest of the NBA.....problem is the emotional side is really struggling watching 7 players carry the load of 13 while that motherf'er sits around whining.

That’s exactly where my mind sits with the situation.  A battle of emotions vs. logic.

That said, I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of this team in the face of back-to-back losses than I am right now.  They refused to lay down and quit in the face despite a massive talent disadvantage.  Sure, there’s plenty to critique in light of the losses, but they showed a ton of heart in seriously uphill battle.

Yep.  For Suggs it's a no brainer. Ross is icing on the cake.  Pushes Green to the bench.

I haven't had the feeling of disgust I normally have after losses. Because it's so fun to watch these guys scrap like they have.

The looses make me more critical of Morey. But I love these players.

I think it could work. Magic never expected for Cole Anthony to play this year like he has and basically said F this, this is my team.

Ben doesn't have to be the guy anymore and they have an athletic Big in MO to run the floor

Perfectly stated, man.  I wasn’t the least bit mad.  Maybe a little bummed because it was close all the way to the end.  The team is incredibly fun to watch and you don’t lose faith in the season when you see them lose despite putting in the best work they can within their individual talents.

We are almost to the point where losing one guy, no matter who it is, doesnt automatically mean we cant win. That is the kind of depth I have wanted to build via a Simmons trade rather than going for the 1 super star. Because you know Embiid will be unfit at the end of the year, and then youre relying on that 1 other super star to carry you all the way. Its just not realistic.

You need to build the team so deep that there are enough solid players, where a few are always hot on any given night.

Atlanta doesnt always struggle if Young is off because 2 of Huerter, Bodganovic, or Gallo are always going to be hot. And the rest of the team is solid enough to get the job done around them.

For us, now you have Embiid, but you also have Harris, Curry, Kork, and Maxey. Even Niang steps up with a few 20+ point games already. Just need to add another 1 or 2 of those guys and Embiid has enough help. And if he goes down, you still have your army of guys who can go off.

Youre sort of seeing the depth I have been talking about. Shocked Chicago, twice. Just a tiny bit short against the Knicks and Bucks. If we had been healthy, likely beat them both. And if we just added 1-2 reinforcements in the ben trade.... title contenders.

Ok so we dont have Simmons's D. And then we lost Thybulle's D. And even Green's D, and Embiid's D. But we still have like 8 guys who are just going to outscore you then. Now if one of those 8 was like a Brodgon instead of a Shake Milton, or a Siakam instead of a Paul Reed....

Yep.  And a 27M trade exception for Morey to waste on nothing!

Yea it didn’t let me add that in so wasn’t sure how that worked but if we can dump a larger salary of a bum on a guy with potential and a small salary I’m all for it.

Yeah agree.  I don't think I'd trade Giddy for Simmons if I was OKC. He's already looking light years better than Simmons on offense. It's wishful thinking.

An 8th grader can look light years better than Simmons on offense, just sayin........

Yeah, no one is trading their top prospects for Simmons.

Sad but true.  If Simmons is winning one part of this battle, it’s the continuing self-devaluation that will lower his market price and screwing the Sixers out of his max value.

Morey held onto Ben as Ben and his camp gave their best shot so he isn't giving up for peanuts now or never.

He also had China down his throat a few years ago, this Ben drama is nothing to him so be prepared for this to drag out.

the simmons/mister softee t-shirts that were available for sale in the parking lots this past week are awesome.

MISTER SOFTEE BS SHIRT - Ellieshirt

asking for brown in a ben trade is pretty unrealistic.  as is thinking you'll get ben for marcus smart & filler.

[FantasyLabs NBA] Tobias Harris (health protocols) will play Thursday.

My imagination tells me a more realistic deal with Boston would be for Smart and Pritchard, or something like that.

Maxey is awesome
