Sexton is a better shooter. Fox is a better defender. Theyre almost opposites as players. But both can score.

Opposite is a stretch, but yes they do have key differences. Admittedly, Sexton is a MUCH better shooter (from range) and Fox has been a better defender. Still, there is a lot of overlap both with how they play and how they mentally approach the game. I see Sexton as the poor mans fox, with a plus shooting stroke. He is athletic, but not as much. He can finish at the rim, but not as strong (or creatively). He has the tools to be a good defender, but has not put it together. Both are hot and cold facilitators. My point was, Fox is a better option than Sexton.

I cant say for sure who is better. Sexton improved his shooting a lot, and Fox is kinda stuck where he is.

Id say fox is easily the better distributer. But do you really want to kill spacing with a non-threat from 3 in the starting lineup? He would be better than Ben, but would bring some of the same issue as well.

Id probably prefer Sexton honestly. Maxey is boosting his playmaking ability. Sexton can do the same. Some will require him working on his game. Some will naturally come from being on a better team where guys around him can hit shots and give him asssits.

In the end, we arent getting either of them most likely. 6ers dont seem high on Sexton.

True, and I see what you are saying about sexton. he offers, shooting which is needed. I suppose with Maxey's progression it may be better to have a combo guard who can shoot... I just like the fit defensively with Fox. But like you said, neither is happening.

Well one has a torn meniscus so we can check him off the list.

Fox could happen, but more we look at Fox he might just be another Simmons. A guy that excels in transition but can't play half court offense, not to mention his shooting is beyond atrocious, shooting 24% from 3 and and turnover still at 2.9 while assists are down.

I am also not sure Fox knows how to play off ball.  With Maxey showing he can handle some of the lead guard duties, you are again putting a player in a position to not succeed.

Cough Lowry Cough would have been perfect this off season in a Simmons for Lowry deal. To me Haliburton is the guy you target and offer any piece along with Simmons to get Haliburton and Buddy

I dont hate Haliburton, shooter who can play both spots. I would feel good about a trade like the one above.

they definitely aren’t high on sexton cause he’s done for the season with his meniscus surgery. And they aren’t going to trade for him and have to pay him a big contract that he wants coming off that injury and never playing with the team prior.

Harris out

Ugh gonna be ugly

Anyway we can get Brandon Ingram, without gutting our young talent?

How the hell does Isaiah thomas have a broadcast job? He is beyond terrible

Our young talent isn't even good enough to get him

Maxey needs to shoot. Alot. No korkmaz garbage

Is thybulle physically able to shoot?

Nice win considering we were down harris and embiid. Also secured we return from the trip over .500. Hopefully get embiid back Saturday and Harris. Go on a run

I'm curious to see how Maxey plays with Embiid moving forward.

With Sacramento in shambles, firing their Head Coach, front office issues....get me Haliburton and Hield for Simmons and let's go.

Starters - Embiid, Harris, Thybulle, Haliburton and Maxey

Bench - Curry, Hield, Drummond, Niang, Korkmaz

Fill Ins - Milton, Bassey, Reed and Joe

Sent out to barn Old Yeller Style - Danny Green

That bench could outscore most 1st team units, this team would be deep, able to handle an injury and would easily be the deepest in the NBA (if it really isn't already)

Hield would start and Thybulle would come off the bench.

I'm ok with that too......Surrounding Drummond and Thybulle with shooters like Curry, Niang and Korkmaz.....that is still a second unit that could beat most teams second units and honestly keep up with most teams first units.

And you could still tinker with Milton, Green, Bassey, Reed on that unit.....

and I've said it before, Sacramento is like the Harrisburg of California.  In the middle of no where and a craphole.   It's not like you are living in SF, LA or San Diego, literally there is nothing there.  The only good thing about it was that it marked the halfway point between SF and Tahoe when we were driving up there to ski!

yeah...haliburton looked really good last night.  definitely trade for him!

pffft...

He was still a plus on the court.  He only attempted 5 shots.  The dude had 9 assists, has good vision and can distribute.  His 3 point game is decent too.  It was one game so take it with a grain of salt.  He might not be a scorer but he would be very useful if he was traded with a couple other guys from the Kings also.

I would argue our offense is better without Tobi if Seth is playing.

Yeah i had same reaction that he seemed…confused? Like he had no real role. I mean it is the kings after all.

The Kings are a dumpster fire.  Not sure why they didn't move on from Walton in the offseason.  Dude is a terrible coach.  Not sure I'm very interested in any of their players right now.  Fox doesn't fit great (and redundant now since Maxey developed), Haliburton isn't moving the needle much and Hield is what he is a volume shooter.  I wouldn't have any of them on my list of 30 for this team if I was Morey.
