I love when everyone uses the trade machine thingy and it says like -1 wins for the Sixers (hunt's example), I mean how does that machine figure out adding Ingram, when Simmons is giving us nothing (but headaches), is going to cost the Sixers a victory??

ESPN seems to be based on PER.

Hunts looks like its based on a statistic called LEBRON, which by its name, you can tell its phony.

I’d love that trade for the sixers. Curious to see how the pelicans would feel about Fox. I actually like him alongside Zion. I’m guessing Zion would be happy. The kings are the wild card imo. I know Amin on Sirius talked about the kings current FO wasn’t the ones who gave Fox that extension and they’d be willing to move him if things went south. I think Simmons for all his flaws is a guy they actually could use. They play no defense and he’s a bigger "name” that they’d never have a chance to get with multiple years left on the contract. Plus regular season he’s fine. I think the kings would just be happy to be competitive and make the playoffs.

I dont know how you get the Pelicans to give up Ingram for Fox. Gotta be a bunch more picks thrown in here somewhere.

Sorry screenshotted the wrong image. But saw this one. Still don’t think it’s very realistic. Feels like the kings just giving up hield for nothing in this deal. But they also shed 23.5 mil in salary. Feels like Barnes would be more of an option for a salary dump

Sixers give up Simmons and bench guys to get back Buddy and Ingram. Steal of the year

Yep let's get it done

I don't think Hield accepts a bench role.  I think he has griped over his role in the past with the Kings. He will have to be a starter.  Curry may accept whatever he is told and go to the bench though.

Kings are stupid but they aren't stupid enough to trade their 2 best shooters to pair their worst shooter with someone worse then that.

simmons broke as per Eskin

laughing-laugh.gif

So Eskin on WIP tonight, said he is hearing reports that Simmons is broke. He has multiple houses, buys a new car each month etc. and that his multiple mortgages and bills are becoming a burden because he has no income. It was pointed out this this has happened to other basketball players who engage in profligate spending. Eskin was suggesting that he may have no choice but to come back and play so he can get paid and pay his bills.

If that's true, he plays on the 2nd team and not anywhere near Embiid.

Not only would I love to see Ben sitting as Maxie's backup but I'd love it if he had to slide down the bench to make room when Maxie needs a breather.  The coaching staff needs to humble that fool.   I can see why Maxey and Sam Cassell are so close.  On the flip-side, Ben seems like everything that a grinder like Cassell would hate.

https://www.sactownroyalty.com/2021/11/23/22799063/sacramento-kings-trade-rumors-ben-simmons-package-details-report

according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report:

And despite strong preseason chatter that a slow start in Sacramento could lead to a potential Ben Simmons trade with Philadelphia, there remains no significant current discussion between the Sixers and Kings. Fox and Tyrese Halliburton are still deemed unavailable, and second-year standout Tyrese Maxey has emerged as a legitimate starting point guard in Philadelphia.

The last thing we heard regarding the Kings’ interest in Simmons was that they weren’t willing to part ways with De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton for Simmons, which is a reasonable line for Monte McNair to draw even in light of the two guards’ struggles. But beyond Fox, Haliburton and maybe Richaun Holmes, no one one should be off the table in negotiations for Simmons.

Buddy Hield has been productive as a Sixth Man for the Kings this season, but I’d argue that he and his $22.7 million salary would be more valuable as the centerpiece of a Simmons trade. And while Davion Mitchell has shown flashes of being a quality two-way player, Simmons is already that player and he’s only two years old than Mitchell, who turned 23 in September.

There would be immediate concerns about the spacing around a core of Fox, Haliburton, Simmons and Holmes, and justifiably so, but it’s easier to make improvements around the margins than it is to build a strong, young core. If the Kings are given that opportunity with Simmons, they shouldn’t blink.

That's cute that they think any of their players that just got beat by our backups are untouchable.

I like de’aaron Fox but the kings have continuously been bad with him. Like they haven’t made any strides of being better. Since they’ve gotten fox they’ve finished 12, 9, 12 and 12 in the western conference. Of course it’s not all of his fault. They have a multitude of issues. but i wouldn’t make him untouchable for the right offer. You are going to continuously be bottom dwellers in the western conference even with him so if a team came along and put a great packaged for him I’d consider it. He has 4 more years after this year on his contract. I’m guessing the kings still stink in 2 years and at that point he probably is going to want out and not going to re-sign with them. His peak value might actually be now where a team dealing for him is willing to give up a lot more cause they acquire him for at least 4 more years.

They need a whole overhaul in that organization from janitor to owner.  Their poor fans.  They're delusional.  I guess that's what happens when you haven't had a winning record since 05-06.  A lot of Sixers fans thought tanking a couple years sucked.  Try being a Kings fan.

Yup. If I were the kings I would try to figure out how I could trade buddy Hield for a bunch of expiring contracts and draft picks. just unload Harrison Barnes for expiring contracts and whatever i could get. And then try to find a make a big time deal for fox. Begin to build my team around haliburton. The fact remains they are still going to 11th or worse in the west this year and likely for the foreseeable future. I get they probably want to keep fox so they can have fans actually have something to look forward to going to those games and he’s a good player. But those fans eventually will Say F it if they finish 12th in the Western Conference again even if he’s on the team. The kings are basically in purgatory

You can definitely tell Tatum only cares about himself.

[Charania] Sources: There’s optimism 76ers star Joel Embiid will return on Saturday vs. Minnesota following a three-week absence due to COVID-19. Embiid has been ramping up this week. If unable on Saturday, second game of home stand (Monday vs. Orlando) is possible.

have to imagine GS lights us up tonight, right?

Did Covid hit Embiid that hard?
