Reportedly,  the 6ers sent an offer for Lillard.

Don't know if this is a breaking thing,  or old that just got out.

I assume either way,  not happening.

Odd since Dame said he would be interested in playing with a defender like ben

Lillard is looking for 2 year 100 million extension.  So 50 million at 35 and 50 million at 36.  No way I want to touch that contract.  It is bad enough without the extension.

The thought is he knows they won't give it and he will use that as ammo to justify asking out.

Don't be so sure.  Lilliard is putting the screws to the Blazers with his salary demands.  Blazers don't have a GM at the moment.  You can just sense Morey is waiting to close in for the kill.

To be honest not a fan of smaller older guards. I say get rid of both, Ben and Tobias

A source familiar with the situation spoke to PhillyVoice on Monday evening and said the Sixers have had no recent discussions with Portland regarding a CJ McCollum trade, and a package centered around the Blazers’ guard is not currently of interest to the Sixers.

The Sixers are expected to continue dialogue with teams across the league about potential opportunities as Dec. 15 nears and more trade scenarios become available league-wide.

turning down McCollum, Simons, and a 1st is absolutely idiotic.

Morey deserves a lot of heat.

I disagree. CJ is getting a crap ton of money, we see older smaller guards don't age well and wouldn't have push them over the top.

You can’t play him and Seth together either so that kills minutes. His Contract is that big I do not know who would take it on.

meh... it was said that you cant play Maxey and Seth together too because of the size of the back court. So how is playing Lillard any better? Hes only 6'2''.

The size doesnt matter. The scoring does. And McCollum seems to have more left than Lillard does too.

Yeah no go on McCollum if he has a collapsed lung.  Can’t have that.  We’re trying to get rid of a guy with a collapsed heart.

He will likely be back playing before the end of the month.  It's a series thing,  but with a pretty quick recovery.

McCollum was having a pretty good season, but I don't know if he fits what they need. He would push one of Curry/Maxey to the bench which may not be a bad thing, but he doesn't play defense and has had various injuries the last few seasons (I think he's played 70, 70, 47 and now has the lung)

I think they're seeing what they really need is another wing. Harris isn't cutting it and Green is only there for vet leadership. I wouldn't be shocked to see Harris traded as they get closer to the deadline.

I do think they need another guard, but it just needs to be a solid bench option that can run the point.

Regular season who cares but playoffs it does. Why do you think Blazers have never made a dent in the playoffs.

Go watch Game 7 vs the Hawks. They said where is Curry and Huerter ate him alive for 27 points

Woj reports, "Several executives told ESPN they would be far more interested in the Blazers job with ownership's blessing to move Lillard sooner than later.”

In this proposed deal, the Sixers get Lillard and Cody Zeller for Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, and a 2022 first-round pick (top-10 protected).

Simmons

Lillard

Green

Niang

Embiid

You could probably convince a few solid vets to join that lineup come buyout time as well

For me, Maxey is no longer available in the Dame trade.  Dame is obviously much better at the moment but his injury, age, decline, contract and the new rules for these small guards who use to get all the calls is not worth it anymore.  Even if Maxey isn't going to be great, he will be the most valuable asset we have in a trade in the near future to acquire a great player who is just hitting or has years left of their prime.

I am done with 4 on 5 in the playoffs.  No thanks.

Why does anyone think Simmons would suddenly want to stay in Philly just to play with Lillard? This makes no sense.

I usually don't post random trade scenarios unless they're from someone like Woj or Shams

I’m guessing there would be another trade with Simmons on the horizon to try and build up the roster around embiid and lillard at that point. You’d basically be giving up 2 starters and a bench guy with Tobi, maxey and thybulle in that Portland trade.

Plot twist...Morey trades Embiid so Simmons and Lillard can play together. :o

The callers into WIP would be phenomenal lol

Their trade package for Lillard would be Springer, Korkmaz, a 2nd round pick and "throw in" Shake if you have to.

WIP is far worse than 97.5 when it comes to sixers talk. When Devon is on at night he’s far better and at least some of the callers know what the hell they are talking about. WIP callers pertaining to the sixers is comedy
