This is why the Detroit deal makes a lot of sense.  Take Grant, but that pick is going to be a big time asset. 

Your not getting a super star for ben.  Never was realistic. Not gonna be a player to put them over the top.  So take the best package of young player with projected highest draft pick.

Anyone else sick of these hack writers and sources coming out with articles that are nothing more than "suggestions" yet the titles are "New Trade for Ben Simmons"?  It's awful.  

As the weeks pass, I think you see more teams needing a change or in case of Hawks having too many guys. I would bet a trade happens in next few weeks and if doesn't then wait till the summer.

I tend to think they wait for the summer. I know it’s Keith Pompey but he was on 97.5 about a week and a half ago saying he sees them waiting til the offseason if they don’t turn things around. It felt like that was coming from someone in the organization. When he usually discusses the sixers he’s very i don’t know they could do this or that to try and not be controversial or piss off the organization. It was pretty direct

Personal belief if the sixers flounder then i think they’ll wait til the offseason. Only way i think they budge right now is somehow they get an all star type player which still doesn’t seem like that’s happening at the moment. The thing that somewhat works in the Sixers favor this off-season is if one of those star players wants to leave their current team then a sign and trade might be the best thing for the team losing that player. That said I don’t see one of those guys wanting to do a sign in trade to Philadelphia at the moment .
