Agree.  I’m a big McNabb guy and defender.  Just don’t get it.

I'm a huge McNabb fan. Definitely liked him during his playing days more than I liked Iverson during his playing days.

I love Sabonis but the Pacers just added a ton of shooting. I think they did about as well as they could dealing Sabonis.

Pacers got the good end of that deal. Sabonis is a solid starter who is a borderline all-star any given year. Haliburton is the piece though... 21 years old, plays both ends, still developing.

At this point I would have taken him for simmons straight up, maybe they throw in Bagley too cause he doesnt seem to fit into their future. Also, I would have enjoyed seeing Simmons go to the kings. It just doesnt hit the same if he goes to a contender, I dont want to validate his holdout. too late now.

That's original.

I always found it bizarre how Iverson was loved in this city and McNabb was hated (pre DUI of course).

Iverson was a great, immensely talented player. Having said that, there are some athletes whose legend is better than the actual player, and I always felt he was one of those players. Sean Taylor comes to mind.

Because he was fat and out of shape and more interested in drinking booze than getting his body into peak physical condition. Once he couldn't run anymore, he never evolved enough as a passer to be a championship level QB. This is by the way the same reason why TO hated him. TO is a loon, but he was deadly serious about keeping his body in peak physical condition. Look at McNabb here...

Dude has more chins than NFC championship game wins

more of the same.

[Krell] "We are in the deal zone between Harden and Simmons,” per @WindhorstESPN on @GetUpESPN "I suspect they are gonna get it done. I can’t tell you they are gonna get it done. But it’s trending in that direction.”

Talk about hedging your tweet.

If this deal happens, Windhorst will be the only one in the media to have gotten this right. I don’t usually care for him but while every other media member was just dumping leaks from each side, he was  giving info about the state of the situation.

You can basically say the same about Iverson minus the fat part. Iverson was so physically gifted he didn't really have to work out or watch what he ate and drank. Once he got to old to run he career was also over and never developed into a championship level team player

It's somewhat true about Iverson too. He never worked on his game the way Kobe did. He could have been so much greater than he was.

iverson gave 100% on the court, brought the hip-hop persona to the nba, & really seemed to "get" philly. i think that's why he was so beloved.

but he absolutely could've been better if he actually worked on his body, his game, & bought into the team concept. he lost me after his "practice" press conference. that's when i knew they'd never win a championship with him.

Yeah he had so much natural talent, his entire approach to his career was just to turn it on at game time, but the rest of his time was spent drinking at Friday's.

There's really not that big of a difference between Iverson and McNabb in terms of not working to become the best they possibly could. And it's not like Iverson wasn't a complete jerk during his time here either.

I think that's a vomiting joke aimed at McNabb.

I get the vomiting joke but there's also an implication that Iverson "plays harder". I hear that one a lot and never understood it.

I don't get that either.

C'mon dude...it's not like McNabb ever showed effort and toughness. Not like he ever played an entire game with a broken ankle.

Oh...wait.

Someone should be stalking Joel's twitter.  He will 100% leak it before its been confirmed.  Not it!

Yeah but Iverson played with a busted lip once.

iverson was much better at his sport than mcnabb was...and his hip-hop, idgaf persona appealed to the youf!
