I wonder if Bertans is going to go back to being a 3pt shooting robot who is programmed to never miss. Sounds like a horrible situation in Washington. And Id love to know more about who is responsible because, maybe you dont want Beal....

 

That’s a damning statement from Bertans, who was traded to the Mavericks along with Spencer Dinwiddie for Kristaps Porzingis. Earlier in the season, Dinwiddie commented on the locker room situation of the Wizards, saying he wasn’t welcomed as a leader. It was clear that something needed to change within the team, and the management made that happen.

It makes you wonder how/why Beal feels such a loyalty there and would rather be in a situation like that than to request a trade. Makes you wonder if they just make all the concessions for him and he cares more about that than winning.

I'm just hoping they are holding him out to integrate him into the system, not because he is hurt and will continue to be so.....that is my only fear on this whole thing.

he practiced with no restrictions today...he's fine. they're just being extra careful. sitting him out the next 2 games gives him another 11 days of rest.

he passes his physical the other night and practiced today so appears to be fine.

Honestly, I wish they could rest Embiid as well. It's great he is an all star, but I'd be fine with him missing that as well.

I was thinking the same thing. Does it make any sense to make Embiid kill himself trying to beat these couple of really good teams alone? Or just look to dominate after the all star break when he and Harden can team up.

The all star break always seems to be where Joel hits a brick wall every season.

On the other hand, he is going to want to keep playing. He probably only lost MVP last year because of the amount of games he didnt play. And, do we really want him to lose conditioning as we have always seen happen when he misses games in the past?

Tough call....

i just hope he half-azzes the all star game itself & doesn't kill himself out there.

I will guess it was the Laker guys like KCP and Trez vs the 1st round picks they drafted last few years. 

The Nets social media advertising guy probably needs to tweak their algorithm. Lol

For those super impressed by Daryl for passing on the deals trading Ben for pennies on the dollar, and hailing him as some genius, dont forget he already agreed to this deal last year. What a bad trade this would have been.

2 years away, Tyreke Evans apparently has been re-instated. 32 years old, I wonder if he has anything left. He was still very solid when he went out.

Simmons doesn't look like he wants to be there.

Steph commented on how Seth was "caught in the crossfire", and really loved it in Philly and loved playing here.

I saw someone else say, just think about being Seth and Drummond when Ben quit on you for months and now you have to go be his teammates again in Brooklyn and pretend everything is good. 

Because of him and his attitude, they got shipped out of a great situation.

I'm glad Morey got someone to help Embiid out and make a championship run but, let's not pretend like he stole a super star that wanted to stay with the nets and was playing to the best of his ability. None of that was going on. Harden made sure that he put the nets in a desperate situation and had to take less if they're wanted anything for him, instead of nothing. 

Harden did a good job of helping Morey get himself out of Brooklyn. 

 the Rockets owner assisted the Sixers in this as well. There was a report Harden originally wanted to go to the sixers over Brooklyn But the rockets owner didn’t wanna make a trade with morey and help him out due he was angry at Him. I think Harden realized the Rockets owner was never going to send him to Philadelphia so he went to the nets instead of staying in Houston.  Which kind of felt like at some point in time if it wasn’t going well (kyrie unvaccinated and Durant continuously hurt) that he could get temperamental and ask out because it wasn’t with morey and his preferred destination of the sixers.  Without that help, harden is probably a 76er last year and the Sixers give up picks, thybulle and Ben Simmons in that trade. 

frankly the Rockets are going to regret not taking that Sixers haul. I think it’s actually way better than what they are going to end up with from the nets.
