They have to want to come to Philly. And Doc doesn't play young guys, he stunted Maxey growth last year

You would think the way Kork has been shooting you could get Joe minutes but yes...Doc.

the bums off the bench still worry me a bit...when harden was out there with 4 of the least athletic players in the nba (kork, green, niang, & milsap), it was ugly.  if glenn would just give reed some minutes, at least there would be some energy coming off the bench. but he's glenn...so he won't.

Needs to get Reed minutes over Milsap and Joe minutes over Kork. Harden-Joe-Green-Niang-Reed would be a much more effective lineup.

Agree. The bench has no scoring power right now. Niang is okay as a spot up shooter, Green an okay defender and the other three guys getting minutes provide nothing. Reed can at least provide some energy on both ends and maybe some putback points.

I don't think Joe is the answer. Coming off a great summer league he was horrendous early in the season and benched. I feel he is one of those guys that doesn't know how to cope with pressure and loses his mind. When he has played well recently it was in random spot up duty with no expectations. As soon as he becomes a legit piece of the rotation he struggles.

They need to go with an 8 man rotation in the playoffs, and please no more Kork. I don't know what happened to him, but his shooting touch is way off. Shake, Green, and Niang should be enough. I can live with some Millsap too. He still has an occasional move or 2.

Ok, but he’s still shooting better right now than Kork. He’s just Furking useless right now.

No.  Just no.  He's completely washed.  He can barely move on the court anymore.  He should be retired.  Reed is a better option.  Doc is vet coach so Millsap will get time despite being completely useless on both ends of the floor.

Meh, he was 6 and 3 in 12 minutes. I'd like to see that go down to 8, but he's not that bad. Still better than what Howard gave us last year.

Kork came up about 5 feet short on a pull up 30 footer last night.  Seriously he's worthless right now.  Shake has been struggling, too, since he has came back from his back injury.

Besides some of the rotation stuff by doc and korkmaz, another concern is that the sixers playing embiid 36 mins, harden 39, maxey 36 and Harris 34. You’d like for the regular season those guys not to have to play 36-39 mins a night. Would like it to be closer to 28-31 mins. Meaning for the regular season we could really use the bench to step up to help preserve those guys for the playoffs and then ramp it up in the postseason.

Not going by stats.  I just know what I've seen on the court the last 2 games.  He's not even a shadow of what he once was.  Vet savvy can get you so far but he just looks like he's moving with cinderblocks strapped to his feet.  If you're going to run Harden with Harris as a stagger, get an athletic 5 out there for some lobs and run outs.  That's Reed not Millsap.

Shake has been struggling for a long time. His shot is all jacked now with that weird hitch.

He has been awful, I just don’t think Joe will be much better. They need someone like Curry to be able to come off the bench. Maybe Kork heats up in the back end of the season, but they need to find a couple of catch and shoot guys that can hit at a decent clip

It might be them trying to build chemistry with only X amount of games left. The best way to do that is live games. I would like to see that number come down but it doesn't help the bench is trash

I think the first part is some part of it. But really think the second part about the bench is the bigger reason. If we had another scorer off the bench i think it would make it easier to rest those guys more. However niang, millsap, kork, green and shake are all super inconsistent night to night scoring

Just realized Maxey’s 3pt % has crept back up to .400 after these past two games. Such a huge improvement from year one to two.

ESPN published a pretty striking stat: in just two road games, Embiid and Harden have combined for 127 points and 59 free throw attempts.  It goes without saying, that latter stat is critical when you have guys going to the line who can actually hit their FTs.

Ben got to the line a lot, but not for good reasons and certainly not with great effect.

Meanwhile that little **** Simmons is still "ramping up"

The Nets might be screwed for home games. They didn’t make an exception for Kyrie to be able to play home games. I doubt he will get the vaccine.

They are not making the exception for Kyrie. He won’t be able to play home games.

Can we merge the threads?

I just find it comical they won’t let him play as a net at home cause he’s unvaccinated. But if he were traded to the 76ers and we played in Brooklyn he’d be allowed too lol.

I was hoping the game would be on my cable given the early start but alas it was not.  Saw the highlights though.  An excellent start for sure.

I just may have to buy the NBA package for the the rest of the year.  The problem is the 7:30pm games are 1:30am starts for me.  Looks pretty cheap though.  All Sixer games for the rest of year for $55.

absolutely worth the price if this is going to be a Championship season. This team is going to the ECF at least. Stars win in the playoffs and we have the best 2 man game in the league right now. Also have willing role players around them, without achilles heels that will single handily cost you games.

Yeah I think so though I'll probably only watch the evening games live if it gets to a game 6 or 7.  I can wake up and watch the reruns though and every early game will be gold for me.
