Not even trying state that Washington is better then us on offense just didn’t agree with the assessment that there offense is bad and not sure how anyone could looking at there roster.

They had a top 10 rated OL last year

Gibson was a rookie who played on par with our own starting RB that is elite

Mclurin and Samuel have far out produced anything our WRs have done in recent years both what 25 and under as well

Thomas was one of the better TEs last season

Fitz is far better QB then anything they had last season.

As I said from the start I don’t think they will be a great offense but I don’t believe they will be bad either. They will be somewhere in between but with there defense that could be plenty good enough.

I cannot say which offense is better right now. Who can? After the third or 4th week we should be able to tell though. PS means nothing as to what the team actually does during the RS

I get it. We are all fans here and are optimistic of our chances. But we are not at every practice and do not look at films on every player nearly as much as the coaches do. So how can we expect to know who will do what? PS is simply to have the starters get tuned up and to see who we keep as back ups. You really cannot make predictions on a teams performance based on them. At least I don't think so... Maybe I am totally off base...

I think you are being inconsistent. On the one hand you are saying it "totally sucks" that Tyree Jackson got hurt, because he was showing a lot during the preseason. On the other hand you are saying the preseason doesn't matter, so why should we care if a deep depth guy gets hurt, since we don't know if he's actually good or not.

It's confusing to me.

Be interesting to see what Eagles do with Jackson if I’ve read it correctly we can’t place him on IR and set to return until we are down to the 53 man roster.

So would we keep him on the initial 53 IR him to return then bring back Rodgers or Stoll until then(maybe an Ertz trade happens)

Sounds to be like he is keep a realistic approach it’s one thing to be excited about guys it’s another to overhype them. This Eagles roster shows a ton of promise but promise doesn’t mean we will be good either. The guys that are out here killing it in practice still have to show they can produce on game days.

We have all seen guys that practice terribly come on doing the season Patrick Robinson comes to mind and the preseason darlings kill it to disappear in the season.

Did you read my posts? I said the only thing I care about is the team stays healthy in PS. The Coaches will know if he is good enough to keep or let go. We don't other than our opinions.... I happened to like what I read about him. So I was hoping he would make the team. That was my opinion. I have no clue how good he actually compared to the other TE's

Keep developing him for next season and going forward. What I was thinking would be needed anyway.

Harder to develop a guy if he is onnIR and can’t practice and get reps

Tyree Jackson has a fractured bone in his back. He won't need surgery but is expected to miss 8-10 weeks, according to Eagles. Got hurt landing hard in end zone yesterday. Tough break for the QB-turned-TE. Was having a very good camp.

Tebow is free again

Gibson was also a WR in college, so he had to transition into the RB spot

Like CB Jones? If he showed the upside, you keep him and hope he comes on next year

It is. But there are plenty of non-official-coach/trainers out there. A few should’ve capable of assisting a QB turned TE with fundamentals of TE play.

I think you have to waive him injured. If nobody claims him off waivers we can keep him.

I read where he had training during the off season. Specifics for route running, blocking and what not...?

Sure but at this point seems like Tyree is most just missing actual experience at the position can’t get that on the sidelines best course of action would be to hold him onto the 53 then place him on IR designated to return.

Yes he went back to his college and met up with a former WR and worked his tail off. Biggest thing now for Jackson would likely be improving his blocking and just experience/reps playing the position against NFL caliber guys

I get the feeling other teams would claim him if we let him go, so may be right course of action BG. Cannot believe I am agreeing with you so much lately!

Lmao most our disagreements revolves around the QB position and the course of action to take on it it seemed which is fine.

Reports saying teams are connecting the Eagles about Dillard… Think we need to seriously considering pulling a trade getting whatever we can for Dillard at this point.

Was hoping he would really push for the starting job but didn’t seem to happen get what we can in return for him.
