I am not saying Gardener is not a Solid player. I am just saying we need to look at who he has lined up against when doing a fair evaluation...

IDK no TD's allowed in 4 years and your final season giving up only 131 yards is hard for me to ignore. It got so bad QB's just wouldn't throw his way. Nice to have a guy who can take away a teams primary WR. Put him opposite Slay and basically you have taken that teams passing game away Still I doubt Howie moves for him,so as I said I need to forget he exists

LB Chad Muma-Wyoming. This would be a nice pick. I suspect he would go late round 2,but this is more where Howie would take a LB. Some round 2 WR's to ponder Jalen Tolbert-S bama,Pickens-Georgia,Justyn Ross,Clemson, Dotson(dude has good hands)

Gardner still gave up no TD's against Bama(none throughout the playoffs). One would think that would be an obvious "go to" for bama?. He shut him down  Lets remember he gave up ZERO TD's in FOUR YEARS,that is not easy to do. Gardner has not reached his ceiling,he will get better vs better competition. he gave up 131 yards ALL SEASON

Difference is Alabama did not need to throw against him. They had 2 WR's who are slated to be drafted in the first couple rounds. So not sure Gardener has shown us if he can cover or not. I do agree that the stats show he can though.....

Well the scouts like him he should be the first CB off the board,so apparently I am not alone unless everyone is WAY off the mark

Here's a guy we are overlooking. He could be a first round choice. Smaller school, but at his position that won't matter as much. Bernhard Raimann G Central Michigan. He would give us another young lineman to go with Mailata and Dickerson. Now the only worries are Lane and Kelce replacements. Check him out. This is definitely a Howie type pick

This guy just seems to be a Howie pick 1000%, could be our 19. I would not be unhappy. Really like Daxton Hill in round 2,if he is gone brisker is nearly as good,so we can easily get a nice S in round 2

I also like Walker at Edge as our 19 pick. IDK there are so many ways we can go here

So there are many options.I'm trying to think like Howie which leads me to the following  1-Booth-CB, 1-Olave-WR 1 either Raimann at G or Walker at edge. Round 2 Muma-LB or Hill/Brisker at S

Expecting Hill to blaze and be a first rounder. Way too early for Muma for me.

One OL...one DL... and trading the other first round pick is my wager.  WR or CB are the other positions they draft round 1.   If they break the 3 decade long trend and go LB or S.   I will be surprised.

We go through this EVERY year... " this is the year they will take LB or S"   never happened yet.   So until they do... I'm not expecting to see it.

Btw, would love to see the trend stop... just for sake of having it stopped.

You are right. We do go thru this every year. Previous years I leaned your way of thinking too. But when was the last time the Eagles had 3 first round picks? That is the only reason I think we could actually go LB round 1 this year. Of Course, if we trade away a pick, all bets are off....

I think there is a legit reason each year... each year it doesn't happen.  Lol

I still don’t think we’d take a LB. If it enabled anything…..I’d think it maybe gives us the ability to take WR Jameson  Williams(being he tore his knee up in the Title game).

Walker is a five tech. If we switched to 3-4 could be possible. Really high to take a guy like that there. Can’t really see it.

Just don’t see getting a run stopping two gapper that high in the draft.

So used to coaches and GMs backing their QB. Especially one they just traded for the season before. Even if they plan on trading him. Likeus with Bradford, we kept calling him the starter until we worked out a trade. Colts just aren’t in that territory at all with Wentz. It’s just so uncomfortably awkward.  Reich at the combine talked about how he still is watching tape and evaluating. Its painful yet…..hilarious.

The average 6’3 1/2”

257 pounds is the average size of DEs that have been drafted.

I went to two 76ers games in my life. The first was a courtside seat with my dad when he was VP of the Bank. It was late 60's. Hal Greer and Wally Jones were playing.

The 2nd time was the NBA Finals when A I was playing against the Lakers. We had good seats, but the Lakers beat us easily. I got a photo of A I standing next to Shaq. Really give you all a perspective of just how good A I was to be playing against people that much taller than him.

I followed BB really close in the 70's as Dr J and Moses Malone era. since then I really have been a part time fan. Even with A I playing. But after this Harden Trade, my interest has peaked. I may just start watching more game again.....

Just a matter of a re-coach to 3 tech, thats what we pay them for? Dickerson was a center? Noone can possibly learn anything new after college?(must be set in stone)

No more painful or hilarious than us squandering WR talent with Hurts here and wondering where the hell we find out next franchise QB LOL(See you in 2025)

Dickerson played all over. But that’s not remotely what we are talking about. We are talking about this guy doesn’t excel as a pass rusher. He’s excellent at what he does. But we look for pass rush early much more than going for run stuffer. Better fit for somebody else. His teammate Wyatt would be in the conversation, I’d think.

I’d think Karlaftis and Jermaine Johnson are the DE we’d like.
