Old needs replaced-period or we're going to find ourselves in another JP debacle

You have no idea about this. Why would they make all this effort if he wasn't when they could just take a few UDFA's?

What effort? They signed Wren off the streets. Does he have any real guaranteed money even?

So after all the practice stretching his hand for the measurement Pickett only measured 8 1/2 inches. Can you even take him in the first round with that? Smaller than any starting QB last year. The more I look into Pickett….it’s just meh.

Looks like Burks pretty much failed at the combine. I had read that he was expected to light it up with his athleticism. Underwhelming at best.

Good, maybe we can grab him in the 2nd round...

He does seem like blatantly an A-Hole. He usually leans towards telling things like they are instead of the cliche quote. That I can appreciate.

Well, he does attract allot of attention, especially from Chicago and Minnesota fans. Bottom Line is the teammates and coaches love him. He will be a Packer this year and the noise will go away as there won't be anymore distractions involving him.

I don't want any QB this year in rounds 1-3. Maybe take a longshot in the 4th, but better off trading back for more picks next year if a QB is what you are after.... Hurts can stick around another year. Maybe he will step it up....

Young would be the consensus #1 QB next year, but we need a team before we think about another franchise QB and I doubt we would be in a position to get him anyway

GB, this draft is loaded with Great WR's. I feel we can get a true #1 in the 2nd round if they did their homework. Heck may get a steal in the 3rd or 4th. Anyway, to my point, other positions are not so deep. Those positions we need to look at more closely as to where they will be available when we pick. Maybe no DT's available past rd2. All decent LB's are also gone after round 2. I know We NEVER Draft LB's round 1. Well, if they don't see anyone worth while after rd1 they have no choice. Either that or don't draft anyone....

Where does Calvin Austin fit in at WR? Is he any good at catching the rock? Can he run routes? Or is he a 1 trick pony like Reagor?

That's good assessment.   Here would be my strategy.   If this draft is loaded at WR and we have the option of forcing a LB because it you don't pick one early you won't get one... then to me that's where mistakes are made.

If you go into the draft thinking we need this, that and the other thing... and you force yourself into getting all 3.    I think that's the way you get in trouble.  I'd rather double down at one position if at the time it's the best player.    If it's 2 CBs, 2 S,  2 WRs,  2 OL, 2 DL...  go ahead and use both picks for those guys.   You aren't solving all the problems with this draft.   You don't have to address each position.  Double down if needed.  Don't draft a player because after this pick, there won't be any more at his position.

It's not fantasy football where you need to complete a full roster with all the positions.  Don't draft with that idea.

Jerry Rice and Devonte Adams are in this draft in rounds one and two....  I'm not drafting Derick Barnett or Lito Sheppard because their position groups are thin.... I'm taking Rice and Adams.

That said, my guess is they invest in both lines early.

Maybe IDK, but Olave should be right there and I'm not going to pass him by. If you want to also add Allen Robinson in FA, I would be fine with that. For him Hurts would be a QB upgrade over the trash he's had to play with and basically being their only WR. Robinson,Smith,Olave with reserves Reagor,Quez and Ward sounds fine to me

I'm not taking a QB anywhere. Maybe a UDFA. We need that 4th round pick for other things. This is the year to get the (supposed) pieces on place for the long haul. I still wish we would play Minshew but Howie's ego won't allow it. Howie is basically the whole problem with rebuilding this team. he did ok last year, this is the year to me to prove he is worthy. ANY mistakes with the top 4 picks will tell me he needs replaced(yeah right). I will be watching the DB drills. We could take Hamilton first(S),then Olave at 16 maybe an edge or DT at 19,then a CB in round 2,LB in 3. We need so much I just hope the top 4 are starters out of the gate. I find the QB from E. Carolina interesting. UDFA ir last pick is all I would go,but he has potential.Small school has alot to learn yet ,but the basic skills are there and we have time

Oh well the QB for ECU must have pulled out of this draft.I don't see him anymore

Possible later OL guys that interest me- Cam Jurgens-C Dylan Parham-C(the 1.74 10 yard split is nice!) Chris Paul, Zack Tom

I'm penciling in Ojabo at 15. It's a Howie pick and I was impressed with his footwork. He is not as polished as Hutch, but I feel with some work he can be just as good or better. So unless someone else just makes me insane, he is my pick at 15. Some late LB's. TIndall, McClain, but I am not strong on defense. I just don't see a LB choice until at least round 3(it's a mistake but it's Howie). Pity we had to keep winning false games or we could have had like picks 5,15,16 and at 5 Gardner would totally give us a shut down for years and years. So it's sad we gave that up for a FAKE playoff berth

I'm still looking at some type of WR at pick 19, so now working on the 16 pick and I think we go CB in round 2. Possibly a S at 16?. Round 3 I would like to add a decent O lineman. We aren't going to fix it all,but we can really boost this team in this draft. A trade back (even 2) could work to our benefit as long as we aren't giving up our round 1 guys. So we could even trade back the 15 pick if we know they aren't taking Ojabo(trade back and still get your guy)_

I'm wondering if Jordan Davis would last until 16.If not I would find a way to move for him giving up a pick next year. The man is a wrecking ball and if we could get him along with Ojabo,I would be extremely happy

Mmmm have to wonder if we take a RB this year guy like a Breece Hall. My guess is this is Sanders final season as an Eagle. Eagles could let him play it out or even a drafted RB and Gains take some strides forward we could look forward to deal Sanders.

FWIW(I know, nothing) here is my first stab at a mock   1-15 Ojabo-edge-Mich, 1-16-Jordan Davis-DT-Georgia(since we have no shot at Gardner,I do what I can to get this guy on my team), 1-19-Chris Olave-WR OSU(all three of these are definitely "Howie picks")  2-51-Derrion Kendrick-CB-Georgia   3-83-Brian Asamoah-OLB-Oklahoma  4-122- Nick Cross-S- Maryland 5-153- DYlan Parham-C/G-Memphis   5-161-Abram Smith-RB-Baylor 5-165-Justin Shaffer-G-Georgia 6-Jack Coan-QB-ND(nice camp arm with potential IMO)

Nuttin fancy, but seems like a guy that will bull ahead for those 3rd and 2's

Joe, you don't know what these players will be in 5-10 years. If you have a LB graded equally as a WR and know there are no LB's later worth drafting, you take the WR? Yep, that makes loads of sense.... It is fairly obvious that we are not solving all of our problems this draft. But you need to try and resolve where you can if the chance is there. Olave or Lloyd are both available. Both are graded as solid starters. Eagles should take Lloyd as no LB worth grabbing is available later. I am not saying their board states this nor if they will. I am just stating what they should do if their board was set up as such.

That's why there is free agency, to get the players you know you can't develop yourself(we suck at LB and DB development)
